look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Poured from a 12oz bottle, no freshness date provided.

Appearance- 3.5 out of 5. Light, transparent straw yellow that is a lot like a clear version of the foil wrapped around the neck of the bottle. The one-finger white head was disappointingly short-lived but did leave a bit of sticky lacing around the sides. Plump carbonation bubbles amble up from the bottom.

Smell- 3.5 out of 5. Don't allow this beer to warm up too much. At first, it opens up the flavors, but it ends up smelling like an old, rickety Mexican outhouse that Señora Sanchez forgot to clean for the past seventeen years; still, Bohemia smells great when it's cool. Sweet grainy malt and floral hops mingle with a bit of yeast.

Taste- 4 out of 5. Sweet, bready malt initially hits the tongue, followed by a strange but pleasant menagerie of citrus and grain. The most remarkable part of this beer is the gentle undertone of vanilla and peach. It wasn't at all what I was expecting, but it's good nonetheless. Although the usual mild hop bitterness is there, the Saaz hops also contribute a slightly corn-like taste that would go well with tortillas.

Mouthfeel- 4 out of 5. This beer is somewhat creamy but still thin overall. It's not nearly as watery as the Mexican piss-water known as Corona or its illegitimate half-brother, Sol.

Drinkability- 4 out of 5. Better than most Mexican beers out there. I definitely recommend it if you're at a local Mexican joint and want a cerveza to accompany your meal. It's full enough to have with a meal, yet light enough to drink quite a few of. Skip the Sols and Tecates and Coronas, and have a Bohemia instead.

Poured light golden color, with a white head that isn't much to brag about, and left no lacing really.

Smell has a sweet graininess, but smells good.

Taste is clean, crisp, malty and a little sweet graininess again. Hops balance this beer out perfectly and are there for that reason alone. Nice clean finish, but dryer then I would have preferred, this has a wonderful sweet flavor, just wished it lasted a little longer.

Mouthfeel is thin, not watery.

Overall, this is one excellent Mexican beer, my favorite out of the country by far.

Bottle at Vive Sol in Mountain View, CA. Wow, this is actually not bad for a pale lager. Not great though if you classify it as a German pils.

Great clear golden-yellow appearance with a thick lasting white head.

The smell is nothing great - grainy with pale malt and a faint hint of hops.

The flavor is mildly sweet as well as mildly bitter. Pale malt, hay, grain, and floral hops.

Light on the palate but not too watery. Fairly crisp.

For the style (which I'm not a big fan of I must say), this is not terribly bad.

Appearance - 1/2" head tops a nicely colored pale yellow beer.

Smell - Hoppy and grain filled scent and some yeast in the background.

Taste - I was not expecting the taste i got. Balanced well with hops, barley and malt. The sweet aftertaste is not over done.

Mouthfeel - Clean and crisp. Another nice summer time beer.

Drinkability - I like it. It has a good flavor for the type of beer it is.

Had a Mexican themed evening with friends and decided this would compliment the food nicely.

Poured into my pint glass the beer is crystal clear yellow. About a finger of stark white head fades rather quick and leaves no lace.

The aroma is fairly muted. What I can pick up is the usual corn tortillas smell. Which I can assume is from the saaz hops. Hints of sweet malt and light breadiness.

The flavor is about the same as the nose. Faint corn and malt. A bit of skunky tartness in the finish.

Thin body with a good dose of carbonation.

Overall it washed down the spicy mexican cuisine fairly good and it was hot and humid so it was a nice thirst quencher. So technically it did it's job.

Poured a golden yellow with a light foamy head that dissipated quickly. Bready, light malty aroma, nothing noteworthy. Smooth malty feel and flavor, maybe some breaady flavors with a very faint citrusy finish. Easy to drink but certainly nothing spectacular. If you're looking for Mexican brew it's a nice change from Corona.

1. clear with a light head that disappears fast

2. faint honey floral smell hops?

3. light crispness and slightly bitter at the end.

4. very smooth almost like tonic water

5. very easy to drink a lot of this.

Okay representation of the style goes well with Mexican food.

a - Pours a pale, light yellow color, very clear with not much carbonation. Pretty substantial head, but fades real quick to nothing.

s - Not much going on, thin, alcohol smell.

t - Tastes alright, but nothing really distinctive. Has some corn tastes alongside that alcohol, lager taste.

m - Light bodied with some crispiness.

d - Went well with Mexican food, and I prefer it to something like Corona, but not something I would go for at the store.

I poured a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

1. It was a pale straw color with thin bubbly white head that disappeared almost immediately.

2. Not much of a smell. Smells a little piney, kind of sweet, but the scent is not strong.

3. Tastes' like bread, a little bit of citrus followed by a very slight hoppy finish.

4. Feels a little bubbly, not overcarbonated though, very crisp.

5. I could probably drink 20 of these. It is refreshing, crisp, and has more taste than most other mexican beers.
You don't usually taste any hops in these beers, but they are present in Bohemia.

A: Golden yellow with active carbonation and a decently large white head.

S: Fresh malts and some hops.

T/M: A slight citrusy lime taste which is backed with an herbal, almost green tea-like bitterness, slightly sweet malts, earthy hops, and a general freshness. Also, refreshing and not over-carbonated like most Mexican cervezas.

D: Quite a good, refreshing brew, which was very surprising since I'm not usually a fan of Mexican beers. It was definitely the best part of an otherwise lackluster dinner (some type of combination pork dish, if I remember correctly) that I had at Matador Mexican restaurant in downtown Phoenix, AZ.

Poured into a shaker pint. Pours a clear pale golden color with a short white big bubbled head that quickly goes into a thin ring with no lacing. Very grainy aroma with a bit of hops too. Tangy flavor up front and a sweetish finish. This so far is my favorite Mexican beer in this style. Very drinkable and a good session beer.

Served in a pilsner glass. Nice pillowy half-inch head. Champagne look to it with a slightly golden-yellow hue.

Mildly spicy, hoppy aroma. Fresh, earthy and grainy. Very true to the classic pilsner characteristics.

I don't know if it's something with Mexican beverages in general but, like the other heavily German-influenced Mexican beers I've had like Negra Modelo and Dos Equis amber, and bebidos like Mexican Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Jarritos, etc., there doesn't seem to be much carbonation in this. Whereas in the other beers I've mentioned, just a little more fizz was desirable, the Bohemia was quite fine to drink this way (and I clean my glassware out properly and thoroughly, so I think I can rule out a scummy glass for affecting the head and bubbles, etc.). So easy to drink and staple-worthy.

Best Mexican beer I've had, even though it's a distinctly German-style brew. Or Vienna. Or whatever it is.

poured a nice golden color into glass with a nice white 1 finger head that quickly dissapted.. a little darker than your average lager.. head settles at a thin film..

smelled of sweet fruity malts..very earthy..mild hop presence is a very welcoming smell..i also got a good floral smell with a bit of caramel in there.. nice smelling brew..

sweetness up front..then you get a quick hop bitterness that settles down with a lemon zest after taste.. a very refreshing beer.. not too much flavor but doesnt miss any flavor.. very earthy taste.. zesty and fresh.. lovely beer

mouthfeel is light to medium with good carbonation..

drinkability is high for this german style pilsner.. i love it..

12oz bottle purchased at McKinnon's in Salem. Pours a crystal-clear straw-yellow body with a quarter inch of short-lived head. Biscuit and caramel malts and a touch of hops comprise the very hard-to-detect aroma. Biscuit with a touch of caramel, a slight cooked corn flavor, and just a hint of hops hits the palate initially, but goes away rather suddenly. Aqueous with moderate carbonation. Very drinkable. Inoffensive and quaffable, definitely good for a hot day, as it goes down easy and is thirst-quenching. Not sure I'd classify it as a German Pils, since it doesn't quite have the hop presence for it, but as a Bohemian Pils or even and American one, this one passes with flying colors.

A great German Style Beer that goes amazingly well with Mexican Food especially with a bit of spice in it. It is not too strong nor too light, just perfect and has a nice smooth hoppy flavour and satifies well. I also love the appereance with its dark brown bottle and golden wrapper. A favourite of mine.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into a tall glass.

Appearance: Clear, light yellow with bubbly white head that mostly recedes.

Smell: Mostly hay and grass, with some spicy hops. Minimal fruitiness.

Taste: Very grassy with only a tingle of apple. Ends with a light spicy and metallic bitterness.

Feel: High carbonation, light body. Semi-dry finish.

Drinkability: Very light, easy drinking Pilsner. Not very exciting, but it does what it does quite well. Could drink a lot of these.

Not really sure what to make of this one. I saw it sitting there and had never heard of it before so decided to take a flyer on it. Served cold, I found it poured out pretty decent overall. Nice medium brown in color with a tight head of white that capped the top quite well. Settling down it managed to maintain a firm, but decent level of head through nice carbonation that was streaming up through the bottom of the glass. Aroma was light, far too light in my opinion, caramel and bready notes, but nothing standing out to me as being anywhere near where it should be. Same goes for the flavor. While it was tight and clean, there was just a lack of depth that was hard for me to get past. Light caramel barely covers a mostly bready, grainy malt bill that does little to try and help the issue.

Overall ehh. It was not terrible, but was really rather lackluster. I did not have a huge issue with it per se, but I needed more. For a macro like lager though it came off fairly well.

Drink this beer staight from the bottle. It was not intended to be poured into a glass. Also, do not add lime or salt to it. That will ruin it. Drink it right from the bottle, and you will get the Vienna-style goodness that these guys intended you to get. A very worthy brew.

This beer pours a mildly hazy pale golden color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes quickly into a thin cap of lacing. The aroma is of pale malt, caramel, and a hint of noble hops. The taste is like the aroma, but a bit milder. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall, this is a decent beer that I could drink in a pinch, but would otherwise.

Bohemia Clasica was a clear yellow color with a tiny white head that disappear as soon a possible. The aroma was a sweet, grainy smell. The taste was a light lemony, grassy flavor. A pretty good balance between malt and hops. The mouth feel was medium bodied with little carbonation. The drinkability was good; ABV, taste and price all reasonable. This was the best beer that I've ever had out of Mexico, which is not saying much, unfortunately.

A clear pale yellow color with a one finger short lasting fizzy white head , no lacing , medium carbonation. Aroma is light toasted grain and a bit of floral hops , with a hint of lemon zest . Flavor is lightly sweet , a faint bitterness and some light floral hop notes , short hoppy finish much like a Euro lager . Quite sessionable I would guess ( I am only trying one ) Nothing wrong with this beer , just very average in all aspects , meah >
