12oz. brown bottle into pint glass
A: Medium amber with short-lived white head that leaves moderate lace.
S: Some toasty malt, "lager" smell. Sweet, maybe?
T/M: Mostly fits the description of a Vienna lager -- toasty, some sweetness, minimal hop bitterness to balance. But I can taste corn when it gets a little warmer. I suppose the corn comes with the territory of mass-produced Mexican beer, but I don't like it with this style. Mouthfeel is average for a lager this color.
D: Despite being able to taste corn, I find this beer highly drinkable at proper temperatures. Great for relaxing outdoors in the summer and much better than other mass-produced Mexican beers.
Side note: I love the Dos Equis ads with the Most Interesting Man in the World, but they did not contribute to my purchase of this beer. Fantastic advertising, though.
