Whoa was not impressed, even keeping in mind I was drinking a lager. It had a musky and tainted aftertaste and it's best attribute at the time I tried it was that it was cold. I don't know what that Dos Equis guy is thinking.

S- Tons of corn and malts.
T- Fizzy and some malts, nothing else.
F- Bubbly.
O- Mediocre.

A typical lager appearance. Golden color. Miniscule head. Moderate-to-low carbonation. Smells the part as well. Very inoffensive notes of malt, but really the smell is almost non-existent.

Carbonation dominates this beer. Not necessary because the carbonation is high - but because there is nothing else. I suppose that, just like the smell, there are some malt in this beer. But really, this is the definition of forgettable. Could I see myself drinking this on a warm summer day? Definitely. But in all honestly, I'd rather take a Budweiser or a Miller Lite.

Meh. I can drink this one at a mexican restaurant every now and then. Obviously I am never ever buying this beer in any other capacity. Pairs well with chips and queso and fajitas.

I live in the great country of Texas, and having a Dos Equis is what we call "being cultured". This is the perfect beer for floating the river, playing cornhole, and tailgating. You can drink infinity of them if you're outside and it's over 100 degrees. Who the hell cares about its head retention and lack of floral notes. Awesome beer.

Looks right - clear, fizzy, a bit towards the orange end of the yellow spectrum. Smell is non-descript. Bready, malty, no real hops. Maybe a bit of overcooked rice. Flavor is wet white bread and something like cabbage and / or cauliflower. Not sulphury though. Finish is flabbier than it should be.

Very easily drinkable beer. Taste, I think, is almost none. Some small taste is on first feel, but no aftertaste and smell is also weak. Maybe this is nice beer as ice cold on very hot day when thirsty, because it feels almost like water, but has little beer aroma.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pilsner glass.
LOOK: Pours with a finger's worth of white foam that halves itself within 30 seconds. State yellow in color. There is a plethora of rising bubbles. Lacing is high and sticks to the sides of the glass.
SMELL: Has strong aromas of white rice from the adjunct rice malts that mix poorly with mild boiled cabage aromas and hints of spicy hops, bitter hops, and car exhaust (I swear I'm not making the exhaust up).
TASTE: The first flavor that I perceive is a combination of strong white rice, mild boiled cabage, and subtle spicy hop flavors. A hint of bitter hop flavors enter immediately after as all flavors persist with the exception of boiled cabbage, which grow stronger. Luckily, no car exhaust flavors are present.
FEEL: This brews body thickness is stuck somewhere in the gray area between light-bodied and medium-bodied. Moderately carbonated with a pleasant and crisp (I know that's redundant given that "crisp" implies that something is already pleasurable, but I'm using my choice of words as a way of emphasis) finish.
NOTE: This isn't exactly a horrible beer. It's very tolerable. But there is a thick line between tolerable and enjoyable. Cheers.

The flavor of this beer is...nonexistent. Seriously, I've had water with more flavor than this. The only reason they can call this beer is because the water's gone through some beer-like processing.

Arived at the table in a large goblet ringed with salt and chili powder. Couldn't see thru the glass, it was a murky red color. Crap it is a michelada. That is right, took this average beer and had them dump clamato, hot sauce, and lime juice in it. Sorry but that is how I finish a night at a Mexican restaurant. I really don't need to give you a beer review, because I agree with most of the reviews below for this beer. It has a little personality, but it comes across really bad on it's own. Put it in a michelada or a beer rita and that personality adds to the game. Not a beer that I would normally drink on it's own, but it is good for the 2 applications above.

This was my first Dos Equis experience and it was a total letdown.

First off, the smell was average, it was a mediocre potent scent, traditional smelling lager.

The taste was really...bland. It just wasn't a fun experience. It was a mild carbonation and the taste had no surprises, or hidden recipes that I caught. I took my time trying to like it, but it just wasn't happening for me.

The aftertaste was actually not terrible. For some reason I kept getting a hint of lime aftertaste.

Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this. Maybe it was just this specific flavor that was the letdown.

It at least has a taste, which is better than I can say for some macro lagers, but it is far from a good taste. Sort of a dull, sweetish corn. I didn't drink it with a lime - maybe it would have been better?

A good lager, simply good, nothing significant.
Look) I do like the bottle color and the design but come on, it is still beer. Light color bottle is never the best choice.
Smell) no real smell but some slight hint of malt (basically beer smell but better than light beer for sure).
taste) Very drinkable. Smooth. You can say its watery or plain, but I like it as it doesn't have any negative taste like overwhelming citrus flavor or wrong bitterness.
feel) It looks simple, it taste simple, its simply a good lager. Good Job Mexican

Pours pale gold. Not much of a taste, a little bit of grain and corn, just slight tinge of hay. Very light body, easy to drink, watery and high on carbonation.

Yes this is a mass produced Mexican lager, so I won't compare it to my favorite DIPAs or imperial stouts. A little light on the color for a lager and subtle on the nose as well. The flavor has a nice sweet caramel note and subtle orange. A touch of hops in the finish - though a little watery as well. Overall, a nice easy to find lager that does the job.

More or less a standard american lager, but it does actually have some body to it! I'd definitely put this above Miller or Bud! And it actually looks like beer when you pour it.

I guess I'm just not into the Mexican lager style of beers. It can be a refreshing and non confrontational beverage, but that doesn't make it good. Imo.

Surprisingly crisp, light tasting beer, great cold on a warm summer day. Very carbonated, but goes down easy. Not the best beer, but certainly not a bad one.

Pours clear, light golden color. Head is almost non-existant. Moderate lacing. A light, crisp flavor with a citrusy hint. Just a tad bitter. Not the most flavorful beer but it would be refreshing on a hot summer day.

12oz. Can into a pils glass.

A- A fizzy, white head drops from a finger to a thin film quite quickly. The body is a clean, golden-straw with moderate-heavy carbonation. Virtually no stick or head after a few minutes.

S- Sweet and slightly vegetal. Light grassy aroma.

T- Sweet grains with a hint of corn like flavor. Kind of a sweet cream of wheat or a sugary corn-based cereal. Fairly dry finish.

M- Light body with heavy carbonation. Crisp and dry.

O- It really blends into the macro imports. Nothing off putting, but it doesn't do anything to set itself apart. Maybe a little more flavorful than some, maybe. Refreshing on a hotter than usual, spring day.

12 FL OZ bottle
Served in a pilsner glass

It is pale yellow in color. Two inches of white head quickly subside leaving no trace of its existence.

I don't get much smell. I was expecting that lovely skunked aroma that is ofter associated with Mexican macro lagers. Instead I get a little grain and light floral aroma.

It is lacking much flavor. It tastes a lot like an American macro lager. I probably couldn't discern this from a PBR.

Thin mouthfeel

It's not skunky like Corona, so it's got that going for it.

A: Crystal clear golden straw color, little white head,

S: Nothing much to speak of, slight hops

T: Slight hop bitterness, slight adjunct grain sweetness, slight fruitiness

M: Light, crisp, dry

O: Average beer, not my favorite but I've had worse.

L: Roughly a 3 on the SRM. Absolutely robust crystal clear with a golden color. One and a half inch head that dissipates pretty quickly that is tooth-white and frothy.

S: Mild floral notes and a subtle aroma underneath almost like summer grass. That's for hops, as for esters a very, very mild plum scent with some tangerine.

T: Very mild stone fruit/ plum flavor as was detectable in the aroma. Slight breadiness afterwards, but very very subtle. Maybe a little pine at the end, nut like the other flavors, very, very mild.

F: Very light mouthfeel as far as body. Carbonation is medium, and a lot like seltzer.

O: Refreshing and very clean. A great American style lager and as anyone that's had them at a picnic knows, they go great with cookout food, especially barbecue! A Mexican beer that's a good old American favorite - and for a reason. There are no strong flavors, but there are not supposed to be. Beers like this are the stuff of American social lubricants. Not amazing, not terrible, just inexpensive good fun.

It has a slight distinct taste from other macro lagers out there. Overall, for what it is, it's pretty good. Doesn't taste or smell skunky like other macros out there. Maybe not the best macro lager but not bad either. Taste is good, but mouth feel could be better. Overall worth a try if you're into macro lagers

I think I'M the most interesting man in the world. I don't often drink adjunct lagers, but when I do, I definitely do NOT prefer Dos Equis. This beer is not even close to being interesting, so don't stay thirsty my friends for this beer. Save your money and buy a better and lower priced AAL, my friends.
