Appearance: Yellow, watery.
Smell: light bubble gum smell
Taste: The barest, faintest evidence of oranges. Nothing flavorful going on here. Still, this is something that I would drink over having a Corona.
Mouthfeel: Thin
Overall: Lawnmower beet. Nothing more.

12oz can in an Imperial pint glass.

A- Crystal clear and clean light straw color with a big 2-finger white head. There's quite a lot of lacing, although it does not last very long. Lively carbonation.

S- Not too bad...some sweet corn and dry AAL grain. It strikes me as concentrate that I added hydration to make the finished product.

T- Not too good...very cheap unfinished alcohol dominated the adjuncts.

M- Poor...thin and watery . Some bite from the alcohol. Not pleasant.

O- Why bother?

Drank from a 12 fl. oz (355 ml) bottle purchased at Downtown Wine & Spirits, Somerville, MA
Served in a pint glass

The beer poured a crystal clear, pale golden yellow. A one-inch tall, foamy, bubbly, bright white crown topped the liquid. Very impressive lacing. Thick, patchy sheets of froth coated the entire glass.

The aroma was very simplistic. Dry, powdery, lager yeast notes dominated. Crisp and grainy with a mild tartness. Some skunky notes were detectible as the beer warmed.

Like the nose, the flavor profile was rather unimpressive. It tasted very adjunct ridden and contained lots of raw, husky, grainy malts. Subtle lemon and hay notes appeared in the center. The finish was bracingly dry and bitter. It reminded me of a hoppy beer that had been completely sucked of any actual flavor.

Most adjunct lagers come across as being overly fizzy, but this one almost seemed a bit flat. Light and airy on the palate. The soft and mellow effervescence gave the liquid a slight creaminess.

In the realm of American adjunct lagers, Sol falls near the bottom of the pack. Though not quite as offensive as its Mexican brethren Pacifico, this beer had an odd, astringent, bitter quality on the finish that was likely the result of a poor quality hop extract. If you must drink this, definitely mask the flavor profile with a lime or two.
