Poured from 12oz can into a glass goblet.

Appearance: light golden hue with a haze-free body and a light effervescence. Head quickly dissipated into nothing. Not great.

Smell: a whack of artificial lime and a bit of sweet malt. Not a fan at all.

Taste: artificial lime, a light hint of weak malt flavor, and a bit too much salt. There might be a way to do a salt and lime beer, but this ain't it. Bleh.

Mouthfeel: light body with plenty of carbonation. Par for the style.

Overall: I'm not a fan of this beer. It's not drain-pour undrinkable, but I'll not be buying it again.

Can of 355 ml. Another one the head of which disappears completely before you set your can down. Colour is bright golden yellow, and there is a small amount of bubbles in the glass.
Aroma is mostly of lime.
Taste is accuratelly described on the can, lime and salt, more salty than sour.
Dry on the palate, mostly because of the salt, and thin bodied. Carbonation is light.
Overall, too salty for me.

Look: Very bright yellow which highlights a lot in my mug, poor foamy head; Smell: Lemon, slightly medicine but acceptable; Taste: Sweet malt with lemon and salt; Mouthfeel: Bitter, watery, light body, extreme carbonation; Drinkability: Has too much salt, very good to accompany "Sabritas" or peanuts but if you drink more than two palls.

Appearance: Pours a clear, translucent body with just a minute tinge of yellow with a very thin, uninviting white head.

Smell: The twangy nose is lime fresh! No good can come of this.

Taste: Faint, shamefaced malts hidden beneath a heady layer of table salt and terrible tasting artificial citrus additives. Just a blip of bitterness, perhaps it's just imagined. Prolonged salt and lime combo until the merciful finish.

Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.

Drinkability: No, thank you. My accompanying beer snacks already have my daily sodium content through the roof!

I drank this from the can in Puerto Vallarta.

It pours a little darker than your normal mexi beer with about 2 fingers of last head. No retention.

There is no aroma at all, just like water.

The taste is very weird, like a maragrita beer. The first taste is lots of salt followed by lots of lime. It might sound appealing, but its not at all.

Mouthfeel is horrible, like water, and you can't drink much of this.

Imagine yallselves Sol with lime flavour and salt. Had it on a Monterrey-Puebla flight to see family awhile back, not impressed. Little taste, might be a little better with food but I didn't like it and don't intend 2 get it again. Chances are it has good drinkability, but if drinking a lager from MX then I prefer Montejo or Pacifico,
drink with caution amigo(a)s!

Sol Limon y Sal as it is known in Mexico because of the added lime and salt flavor to the beer is a classic pilsner from mexican macro Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma but with lime and salt artificial flavors added. It tastes more like a combination of Mike's hard lemonade (without the sugar) and Bud with salt added.

Color: Pale yellow with little head formation and little lace retention.

Aroma: Aromas of lime seltzer and salt.

Taste: Lime, salt, corn, cereal, little hop bitterness.

Finish: Dry and with a limey bitter aftertaste.

Thanks to Crystal for bringing this back from Mexico for me. Crazy looking can that looks more like a Squirt soda can than a beer container...I'm diggin' it though. Pours a clear light yellow color with a rapidly diminishing fizzy white head typical of adjunct lagers.

Smells like sour lemon/lime Lucas salt. Very difficult to discern anything over the citric acid and seawater nose. Regular Sol does not have much of an aroma anyway, so this comes as no surprise.

Ooookaaay, that was f*cking interesting man. First off, this really does not taste like beer at all....more like a lemon/lime seltzer water with some grapefruit juice and a salted rim. At least the saltiness and the acidity are balanced fairly well. Ya know, this is not as bad as I had feared. In no way resembling a beer (exept in appearance), but I find it strangely drinkable and even thirst quenching. Odd concoction that is well worth trying for novelty sake.

This is Cervecería Cuauhtémoc's version of a Miller Chill, essentially. Poured out of a can a slightly cloudy light straw with a thin, quickly fleeting head. Smell of the grainy beer base was definitely there as well as a slight burnt rubber smell and some citric acid. Taste doesn't taste like a mix of Twang, lime Jello and Smirnoff Ice like Miller Chill, thankfully. Flavor, though, is surely more sal than limón. The lime flavor (as per the ingredients on the side of the can) is just citric acid and some artificial flavorings. Tastes about as much like actual lime as those salt and lime peanuts do. Still way better than Miller Chill. Mouthfeel is light and not sticky. It serves its purpose. I wouldn't buy this again as actual lime and salt in a beer is way better than this premixed stuff, but, again, it's better than any lime/salt beer produced in the US, for what it's worth.
