A: Pours a clear, golden/straw color with a one finger foamy white head on top. Not much retention and very little lacing.

S: A good bit of wheat, light bananas and cloves, with some orange as well. Reminds me of blue moon actually.

T: Similar to the aroma, but a little weaker. Some light wheat, a little bit of banana, light spice, and a touch of orange and orange zest.

M: Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. Very refreshing, does well on a hot day.

O: Pretty good, was excited to find it down in Mexico, not sure if this offering makes it to the US or not, but would pick it up again.

Brown 355 ml. bottle poured into a pint glass, showing a clear and deep straw with an inch of white foam. Decent retention and light lace.

Mix of wheat and pale malts and a bit of a musky hop aroma. No real Bavarian yeast notes, more of a pale American Wheat brew.

Taste is more of pale barley than wheat and with a pronounced lemon hop finish.

Decent feel with a spritzy delivery and more lemon again on the finish.

Overall no real yeast influence, just a fruity and easy drinking warm weather brew.

My # 150 beer I review. It is the latest of Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma, is supposed to be the season for summer, as "Noche Buena" is for winter.

A: Blonde and bright color, the head of foam is creamy with a thick finger, the same logo of the other bohemian;

S: Fruity, notes of orange and bread, possibly aromatic herbs such as oregano and cloves;

T: Very good, banana and tangerine.

M: Refreshing, medium bitterness, suitable carbonation, which leave you a nice tangerine flavor;

D: Excellent for lunch or hot summer nights, i hope CCM sell this one all the year.

Not a great beer. I think it is great that Cervecería is trying to go for different styles with their Bohemina brand.
But honestly, this beer is a sloppy mess. No orange nor banana notes or anything. It just tastes like carbonated water with some bread dough and a couple of toenails to spice it up.
I'd stick with regular bohemia which at least has some noticeable hops in there.

Generally poor elaborated, this one seems just focused on generating a commercial beer.

Sadly all the characteristics are not intense but decreased.

A: Plain yellow color, it is a filtered not a pure wizen, the brewer announces it as a Weizen.

S: Poor aroma, nothing to remember, the main ingredients are not really clear.

T: Is the same as the smell, the flavor is really poor, a Weizen expectation is too high for this beer.

M: Well, it is refreshing that is nice and it could be according to the stile.

Given to me to try by my homebrewer friend Jose from the CV homebrewers club. I helped him put together a package for a trade and he told me to give this a try. No problem! tick incoming.

Generic taster tulip ~6 oz

A: Crystal clear early morning sunshine with a bit of white cap. There's no head retention, lacing, or even film to speak of. Even after the initial pour there were just some modest suds, but there is a fairly constant stream of bubbles in the body that implies a reasonable level of carbonation. Small clear bubbles form over time in the center of the body, like a cauldron at boil. Looks pretty average.

S: Light soggy wheat, I would almost say this comes off like a porridge. A mild sweetness that almost has a rustic subtlety to it. Some light fruity notes that are banana like, or ripe kiwi centers. A little bit of green tomato weirdness creeps in behind the sweet notes. Not bad, it actually smells like it has legitimate ingredients.

T: The forward flavor is a lightly soapy banana flavor. I guess the soapiness could be described as an oily herb flavor that I am not familiar with. A slightly metallic flavor that I am not crazy about, but this lasts for an extremely short while before legitimate flavors take hold. A lot of little flowery notes that catch me off guard, with a definite fried banana flavor. Some odd button mushroom funk sneaks in at the end.

M: The mouth definitely implies a light body with a reasonable amount of carbonation. The bubbles continue to stream in throughout the drinking process, but I find myself hard pressed to feel them while drinking. Very soft light busts of bubbles are easy to forget as you drink, but I have to admit they are there. A lightly drying finish cuts the flavor a bit short, this is a bit of a catch 22-- it cuts the flavor short, but also puts an end to some odd not-so-good notes.

O: This is actually definitely some steps up from a generic no-beer-ingredients-macro. However, I think the execution is a bit suspect. I really don't understand the flavor profile of this beer, and it really seems unnecessarily soapy. The mouth feel really isn't bad on this beer, but there seems to be an odd relationship between the duration of the flavors and the light drying body of the mouth. I want to like this beer, as it's really not so bad at all, but at the same time it wins me over in no category. It will just have to settle for simply "better than macro", but far too mediocre to be considered anything else.

I love trying the random one-off beers from the Mexican macros. Tasted 19 December 2013, reviewed from notes.

Pours pale yellow, like champagne. One finger of white head, okay retention and lacing.

Smell is interesting. It's like half adjunct lager, half hefeweizen. Noticeably wheaty, surprisingly so.

Taste is light and crisp, kinda, but a little full and a little sweet.

Feel is odd. Much more mouth-filling than I think it should be, with a rounded warmness that doesn't complement the beer, making it feel heavier and almost chewy. Carbonation is too low, and too flat across.

A passable beer. A little better than the standard Mexican macros, thanks to the wheat, but not much better.

Bohemia Oscura is one of the best commercial beers in the market so I decided to try the weizen version and it was disappointing simply due to the fact that it does not taste like a weize beer at all!

A- Has a nice champagne aspect but starting from there you know it already looks nothing like a weizen beer, it is filtered and it's too golden for a wheat beer.

S- Champagne, caramel, refreshing smell but again nothing like wheat beer.

T- The taste is the weirdest part, it is certainly not disgusting but you can't quite guess anything out of it, it tastes like a lager with cream if anything.

Mouthfeel- doesn't leave after flavor, it doesn't have that cheap beer after flavor, but it has no after flavor at all.

It's just a weird beer overall because it will be extremely hard to guess the flavors in it, it feels like it does have a flavor but can't say what, if anything it has a cream-like sensation/flavor that is instantaneous and doesn't stay for half a second.

But I also feel it is not a real wheat beer, like they probably used 10% wheat grains and called it a wheat beer. But feels like as if the company has no idea how to produce wheat beer at all.

Clear with tiny streamers, golden in color with a thin and rather weak head. Nose is pretty good, with a strong clove and banana scent. Light flavors but pleasant and within the style.

Generally a good beer. Mild flavors of wheat, banana and phenolics, with a strange little nod to citric fruit. Ordinarily with this style you might get some lemon, but this is more orange zesty.

Carbonation is high, makes a refreshing drink. It's super light all around, but the taste is good enough to make it worth your summertime while.

This is the only industrial weizen in Mexico and that´s good, not a very good one compared to craft or imported but it´s something. I think this is a hybrid beer since mexican beer factories are not able to produce ales in their fermentation tanks.
