This beer is exactly what it wants to be(actually, I have no idea if it is, but it is exactly what i want it to be). It is nice and refreshing while still holding a good amount of flavor. Caramel and biscuit and a good amount of carbonation. Best Mexican beer I've had. Love this beer.

Poured from 16oz can into a glass goblet. Indio seems to be everywhere in Mexico.

Appearance: rich amber hue with a haze-free body and a moderate effervescence. Head was thin and dissipated quickly; sad, because the color is so spot-on.

Smell: light malty aroma with a hint of caramel sweetness and a dash of biscuity character. Since I'm not a big fan of biscuit, the light hint here gives it an Oktoberfest quality without pushing it over the edge. Decent!

Taste: like the aroma, it's quite light, although there's a nicely balanced character between sweetness and a drier, biscuity quality. It's actually not too bad.

Mouthfeel: light body with a big, if evanescent, carbonation. I like it, though I'd like it better with a little more body.

Overall: a highly drinkable and largely without-flaw beer. Not as robust as most Oktoberfests, but it's decent right down the line.

12 oz. bottle,

A: Pours a nice medium amber, with a small white head. Poor head retention, no lace. The nice colour is all this has going for it.

S: Sweet Munich style malt, caramel, classic nose for the style.

T: Very grainy, light flavour. Mild malt and carbon dioxide. Quite disappointed given the promise of the nose.

M: Light-bodied, very fizzy odd carbonation. Seltzer like for sure.

O: I was intrigued by a new Mexican beer, in a Fest style no less. This reminds me a lot of Victoria, a lovely classic nose gives me hope then the flavour and mouthfeel stink for the most part. No real off-flavours, I can finish the bottle, just wish there was more than basically a light lager here. Frankly, I'd prefer a Corona over this, the carbonation in this beer is just weird.

Served in a Gale Sayers shaker pint glass.

Dig that new label, padre-o. This stuff pours a clear bronze-copper topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises dry wheat (some of it sorta funky), corn, light grass, and light biscuit. The taste brings in more of the same, with the biscuit coming through a tad toasted. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a generally smooth and fluid feel. Overall, a fairly boring little beer, but still one of the most enjoyable offerings from south of the Rio Grande.

355ml bottle poured into pint glass 30/8/12

A clear dark copper with very little for bubbles, foam or lace, looks pretty still, just a very thin film that´s gone in seconds

S caramels, some bread crust but has a slightly off smell, not quite skunked but on its way, some damp cardboard

T tastes slightly better then it smells, more caramel malt and less cardboard, slightly nutty

M has some body too it and more bubbles then I could see in the glass, not bad in this department

O other then a sub par smell this ones drinkable, nothing special but much better then all the yellow Mexipiss I´ve had lately

pretty average but that puts it above average for this part of the world.

all previous reviews are dead on. better than the 'typical' mexican brew, but still a light version of what the rest of the world refers to as BEER. color is nice, but no head, no trace of head and sits in the glass like a commercial wine. a little tastier than the 'yellow' stuff you normally find in the supermarket but still not something i would spend money on to bring home a full pack of six (as i expect they are normally sold). not bad and would be a great addition to a lazy picnic or bbq with friends or in-laws you dont particularly care for.

Indio pours to a light copper color with some gold hues on the edges. The nose on this beer includes a little roasted malt, graininess, and grassiness. Foam is moderate to low, and doesn’t hold itself together for very long.

Indio offers flavors like carmal and toffee malt, light roast, crisp toasted malt, a touch of breadiness, and some light herbal hops. There is a slight bite in the finish, but it is short lived and the taste returns quickly to that of sweet malts.

Indio is a thin- bodied brew. It has some of the characteristics of a good beer, but the thinness will spoil the experience for some. Still, it is better than most other Mexican brew and it has enough positive qualities to make it worth trying. It is a good introductory craft beer and a good option when you want to serve something better than the standard, everyday beer but also don’t want to offend anyone.
