Last of six-pack (bottles) had over meals during a week. This bottle served in a shaker glass.
Appearance is nothing special - some lacing on the glass, a little bit of carbonation in the glass, and a yellow color with some brown tints. The foam upon pouring dissipates quickly.
Smell - not much of anything. I get something a bit cider-like when I first open the bottle, but then its gone.
Taste - of all the Mexican beers this is my favorite. But - I have to be drinking it with Mexican or spicy food. Otherwise there isn't much there. Mexican beers are deliberately mild to compliment the strong spiciness of Mexican food and with any other food it just doesn't quite go. With Mexcan food though it's just crisp enough to cool the fire and then move onto the next bite. By itself I get a hint of malt, hops, and then something earthy at the end which reminds me of Red Stripe.
Mouthfeel - lightly carbonated, but it does quench the throat when eating spicy food.
Drinkability - I hinted my feelings about it above. It's the right beer with Mexican (maybe the only one in my book) but outside that class of food, there are better.

From a can. I bought a suitcase at AM/PM as an emergency step when the kegerator ran dry of Mirror Pond.
Not as bad as you have been led to believe. This is the definitive Mexican macrobrew, and it's better than any American macro. Still, a little too much corn and maybe rice.
