473ml can poured into pint glass 23/5/12

A clear golden yellow with lots of tiny particles being moved around by some big bubbles that feed a short lived cola like head that leaves no lace

S wet hay and cardboard with some corny malt, not good but better then I thought it would be

T not far from the smell, pretty basic but not as offensive as many Mexican lagers its lacking skunk at least

M thin and watery with decent carbonation, on par for the style

O could be worse but still far from good, drinkable while cold and better then many options from Mexico

A good alternative to tap water while on vacation down south but I wouldn't bother otherwise

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is pretty watery with aromas of grain, sugar, and metallic notes. Taste is pretty much the same and like the smell is watery. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer all around with nothing that would make me try this one again.

Poured into a pint glass. A quarter finger of head on clear, golden colored body.

Faint smell overall... dry hay and rice.

Metallic taste with a slight bitterness at the end, but the metallic taste is there the whole time.

Light body, lots of carbonation.

Not great or even average.

I've consumed loads of this in Mexico, but now here it is, part of Old Chicago's Cinco de Mayo mini tour. Arrives in a cold bottle with a lime. I set the lime aside for the time being and poured the beer into the glass.

Bright pale yellow with a white foamy head. Looks refreshing.

Smells faintly of grain, corn, biscuit. Nothing off-putting.

Taste similarly is lightly grainy, grassy/hay, corn. Mildly sweet. Light body, good carbonation. Pretty fair example of an adjunct lager, which may or may not be saying much. I added the lime to the remainder, why not.
