Hit up Merrywell in the Casino among others for this in melbourne, The bar tender could shut up about how excited he was about this new beer so i had to put it to the test. cloudy, unfiltered and overloaded with natural minerals. a very different beer to what we get here, only mirco brewers are doing this style here in Oz but all of those flavors are too over the top, exaggerated so to speak. Not this one, Clean, crisp and smooth, you get the feeling that the sediment is working wonderes for you.
I would recomend this beer to any beer drinker- snob through casual, a must try, an eye opener

Appearance: Pours a cloudy honey color with a modest head that leaves a few dots behind
Smell: Grainy with a bit if graham cracker from the Munich malts
Taste: Cracker malt, up front, with a grassy hop edge balancing out the malts in the middle; slightly nutty, after the swallow, and the finish gives an edge to the sweeter elements
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Decent and refreshing; a good beer for a warm afternoon

Poured from 330mL bottle into a pint glass. Label says this is best before 4/4/13.
Appearance: light golden hue with plenty of haze and a fair number of tiny floaties moving around in the body. Effervescence is strong and the head is a thick finger of pillowy white foam with decent retention. Rustic!
Smell: lightly grainy aroma with an almost creamy smoothness to it -- kind of hard to describe. It's got a good lager character which is mild but adds a welcome complexity. I like it.
Taste: sweet malt right up front with more of that purely grainy character developing through the middle and end. Some of the allure is lost here, but it's still a refreshing and tasty enough drink.
Mouthfeel: light body with a decent carbonation and a decently creamy texture. Not out of this world, but definitely good for a lager like this.
Overall: this is a really interesting zwickel bier, mild but with a good character nonetheless. It's definitely refreshing and drinkable. Worth a try!

really dug this brew - here's the notes:
bright sun-yellow, cloudy as f*** - sparkly, creamy head (holds well) like fresh (melting?) snow - sticks to the glass okay
lemon & fresh bread dough - grassy, one of the most i've smelt - background of "tart"/bright citrus - lightly-baked, grainy bread - kind of restrained, overall
slightly tangy-tart - overpowers the malt, also dough, but in a good way - very light, refreshing overall - citrus tartness and slight spice almost like orange (maybe clementine) - a bit more residual sweetness would be desired...
fairly light-bodied, aside from sort of "grainy", tingly foam - drops off pretty darn dry, yet creamy - actually, medium-light roundness up front (carbonation, i'm guessing) - moderate foamy film left on the palate - quite a spicy tingle top and tongue - ridiculously quaffable
has sort of a saison (spicy, grainy) / pilsner (hoppy) / hefeweizen (yeast) orgy-complexity - very interesting brew - the nearly numbing tartness is fascinating - where does it come from?
