Poured a typical adjunct lager color of straw yellow and a crystal clearness. The head was a short lived group of hyper ascending bubbles that dissipated immediately.
This smell of a corn malt and barley with some Pilsner cereal grains.
This has a tinny, twangy barley flavor, some obvious corn malts and a tinge of bitter hops. No quite assertive enough it seems built as a thirst quencher an not suited to taste.
The feel is ultra crisp with a real throat burning bite from all the carbonation. That said it is really light and drinks very clean.
Fosters was always one of my favorites but under the lens of beer snobbery I have to admit that it's just not that good.

Foster's Lager Beer 25 oz oil can $2.29(OH)
25 oz oil can poured into a stemless white wine glass. freshness date clearly marked on bottom of can.
pours almost a straw yellow color. less than two fingers of bright white thin head. giving way to little to no lacing.
it smells very adjunct. i smell cereal grains like corn. a slight grassy pilsner smell and a slight metallic twang. a malty sugary smell also.
the taste is better than the smell, malty at first, kind of grainy like corn, followed by a slight grassy pilsner taste. has a dryness to it, but a bitterness too.
mouth feel is rather light. a metal taste feeling is left over maybe due to the can. rather watery, and not very pleasant. the dryness and bitterness is over powering and a lackluster hops don't help.
overall i wasn't expecting a whole lot here but i was still let down. first off its brewed in GA and TX so its not an import at all. i was expecting a non adjunct premium lager. which i did not get. over priced and in the wrong cooler. (import cooler) should be placed next to other adjuncts not next to real premium imports.just stay away from this one. adjunct and not a real import.

750ml bottle poured into pint glass 19/3/14
A bright golden yellow with about as much air as you can fit into a glass of beer, big bubbles cling to the bottom and up and down the sides, looks strange almost, noisy finger of foam is gone in seconds leaving no lace
S smells like sour apple juice, faint hay, corn syrup, cracker, chemicals, smells pretty bad
T doesn't taste skunked but a musty, dank, flavour might be even worse, light grains but I can't place it, sort of tastes like a big brewery smells, quite gross
M thin and watery, lots of bubbles, thankfully it has a fairly clean aftertaste, about on par for the style
O why did I buy a 750ml bottle of this? if it wasn't 30 degrees outside I don't think I'd finish it
Now I understand why I've never seen an Australian drink Fosters and I've spent a fair amount of time OZ
