Picked this up on a whim. Really into porters right now.

1cm mocha colored head after an incredibly vigorous pour, in which some beer landed on my crotch. Very dark. Hints of ruby shine through when help up to a light.

Roasted chocolate, tons of coffee dominate nose.

Coffee, chocolate on the mouth. Maybe a hint of vanilla as well.

Mouthfeel is just a tad light for the style. Proper porters should be almost chewy. This one just dissolves off the palate.

Overall a really tasty beer. Lacking balance in certain areas, but highly worth checking out. This won't be my last 6 pack of this beer.

Pours out a super deep brown with a small, tan head. The middle is nice and blacked out, but carbonation is noticeable around the very edges.

The smell is pretty light and simple. Chocolate, coffee and a hint of vanilla.

Bittersweet chocolate, earthy hops and slight grain start this brew off. The coffee is at the finish, light and smooth. Very well balanced. Super crisp on the palate. Easy going down.

Great session porter. I could easily go through a six pack.

Appearance - Brown head. Black body. Good retention, low stick.

Smell - Dark roasted coffee and cream. Luxurious.

Taste - Dry. No bitterness. Coffee.

Mouthfeel - Light. Fluffy. Almost no astringency or solvency.

Overall Drinkability - One of the best porters I've had.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Color was coffee black. About an inch of head. Light lacing on the top that dissipated in almost a second. Light film on the sides.

Smelled of coffee, chocolate, toffee and caramel.

Tasted of roasted chocolate malts up front, followed by dark chocolate with a coffee finish. Went from dark to darker. Charcoal pit late.

Full body. Slick texture. Average carbonation. Smooth finish.

A nice, smooth porter. Good way to end the Kona variety pack.
