In my stange since I broke my one and only pilsener:

A: clear yellow colored body gave a one finger foamy white head. Fast rising carbonated bubbles came through. Some slight lacing appeared.

S: malts and corn balanced mostly well.

T: mostly mild malts with the corn in the background. A sweet dry finish accompanies the taste.

M: light to medium, not too dry nor wet, just balanced.

O: this isn't a bad beer at all. I can definitely finish off this six pack with no problems.

Poured into a pint glass.

-Appearance 3.0: Average appearance. This is a lager, you know? Not really expecting much in this category and did not receive it.

-Smell 3.5: Hey! Really nice. Rich malt bouquet with a slight hint of...is that corn? No noticeable hop bouquet.

-Taste 3.5: Front is simply cool liquid, very little taste at all. Middle is malty and slightly sweet. Finish is slightly sweet and thick...I taste rice in the finish. Also some very subtle hoppiness and sourness in the finish. In spite of all its sweetness, the aftertaste is long and dry. Very nice.

-Mouthfeel 3.0: Average. Nothing noteworthy in either extreme.

-Overall 3.5: Really not bad at all. This beer is really good with food, too. I could see this as a refreshing and dependable session beer. Unfortunately, the price for this beer is insane: I paid $9+ for a six pack at a Wal-Mart in the Atlanta area. If you can get it for around $5 for a six pack, I would say, "buy it."

As a huge fan of Kona Fire Rock, I was excited to try this. Wow, was I disappointed.

A: Very light, I even asked my wife if she poured me a Coors Light as a mean, mean trick. No head.

S: Uninspiring. Slight smell, again, still worried it was a Coors Light.

T: Ok - it was better than Coors Light, but not much. The flavor is very average and kind of boring. It would be fine maybe while eating to quench your thirst, but not for the flavor itself.

M: Again, kind of boring. There is a little more carbonation than I'd think, but in a good way.

O: Probably not fair to cast it as a Coors Light, but it tastes uninspired and ordinary. One plus, it's not heavy and would be easy to drink - but why would you want to? I can't recommend, but I wouldn't turn down a free one.
