Kona Longboard Lager pours a very clear, straw color with plenty of active carbonation bubbles. The head is creamy looking, and has very good retention and lacing.

The aroma has some fruit and pale malts.

For a light or pale lager, longboard isn't bad at all. It tastes like a mix of an American lager and a Belgian Blonde or single. A good bit of generic fruity esters from the yeast come through. The fruit pairs with some pale malt that is lightly sweet, mixing grain and bread flavors.

Light and well-carbonated.

I didn't expect a lot out of this beer, but it wasn't bad at all, at least not for a light lager.

This beer pours a clear straw yellow with a miniscule amount of foamy white head, leaves almost no lacing at all.

This beer smells like corn and grain, no hops, no malts, just corny and grainy.

Flavor wise its alot more of the same, its really watery and has a pretty gnarly aftertaste.

Its got way more carbonation than it needs and is just mediocre alltogether.

Kona Longboard Island Lager

Appearance: straw clear, large head, and a little lacing.

Smell: honey sweetness and grainy hops.

Taste: biscuity malts, grain, and faint honey sweetness.

Mouthfeel: medium-light.

Overall:
This is a decent lager and can be easily drank in large quantities. The flavor body is not rich and seems to dissipate quickly.

A: Clear and amber in color with a 1/2 finger tan head. Looks pretty decent.

S: Some sweet grain and a bit of bready malts with a hint of floral hops in the background.

T: Sweet honey malt and some graininess right away with a touch of bready malt and some faint grassy hops. Actually not a bad lager.
