12 oz bottle, Dated Dec 09 11.

I poured this Hawaiian lager into a pint glass and got about a half finger of loose, not so dense, egg shell head. The body of the beer is a standard pale amber with good clarity and plenty of carbonation. Not much lacing, but you can tell it's trying.

Subdued, not terribly unique smell of lemon and malted, bready cereal grains. Lightly hopped, grassy.

The taste is better than expected. It has a pleasing sweetness to it which is nicely complimented by a crisp, dry finish. Hints of orange zest or even mango flesh ride smoothly over a slightly overpowered malt background. Crisp, refreshing mouthfeel fits the style well.

I wouldn't mind having another of these, actually. Kona does a nice job.

Pours a pure gold with a half of an inch of loose, bubbly, white head that quickly dissipates. The nose is lightly malty, lemony, and grassy. The flavor is very malty up front with with a sweet, lightly bready feel followed by a smooth, grassy, lemony hop finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, very smooth, and perfectly carbonated.

This is a very refreshing lager. The malt is close to what I would expect from a pilsner, but there's a strong, lemony feel that adds a lighter, less hoppy character to this beer. It's very enjoyable.

12oz bottle poured into straight pint glass. The beer poured a clear pale yellow color, with about an inch of white head that had low retention and no lacing. The aroma was mostly sweet grain, with just a gentle touch of hops, and was fairly typical for the style.

The flavors were the same as the scents, and were also fairly typical, although I did pick up a bit of skunkiness on the tongue. The was the average smooth thinness of the style. Drinkability was OK, but with the beer being generally boring, it wouldn't have much attraction for me. If you want a light beer to keep around as a "lawnmower" beer, this would be OK, but you could do better as well.

A - Not very much head from my pour only a slight lace ring. Color is a clear bright yellow.

S - Typical lager smell mild corn malts and yeasts with mild hops.

T - Not as flavorful as I expected but it gets the job done. Light grassy hops and sweet malts. Not bad but not really that great.

M - As expected light bodied and fizzy.

Overall it doesn't seem worth it at 10.49 a six pack to invest in such an average lager.

Born on Feb 06 12 on label.

A steady pour delivered 1/2 a finger of fizzy, near white head. This dissipated in less than a minute and didn't even really leave a ring. A steady stream of bubbles rises to the top in this yellow straw colored beer.

Nose is mainly a wheat based grain aroma with grassy hops filling it out.

The flavor starts out with a sweet bready malt base and quickly finds its way into grassy hops. Yeast finishes it off.

This is a a light bodied beer that would be good with a lawn mower. It's more sweet with a little bitter, and only a slightly dry finish.
