Appearance: 12oz bottle packaged on June 23 2008. Pours a hazy copper color with a thick white head that has good retention. Some nice lacing, but it is not extensive.
Smell: Sweet malts, hops, and dried fruit. An average aroma, not extremely aromatic.
Taste: Malty, with hints of hops and citrus. Hints of caramel as well. Malts are the first flavor, and they are then balanced out nicely by the hops, with the citrus notes at the finish. A slightly malty and bitter aftertaste, but it is not over powering.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and slightly syrupy. The beer does not feel overly carbonated, and it leaves the mouth feeling slightly dry.
Drinkability: Very drinkable and a great pale ale. I would enjoy a few of these in a night, but at 6% ABV this would not be my first choice for a session beer.
