Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste.

A- Crystal clear brown with quickly dissipating, soapy head. OK lacing.

S- Smells more like sweet vanilla candy when its cold. Coconut becomes more pronounced as it warms, but never really becomes true. Some slight breadiness and caramel malts.

T- Cold, it was mainly burnt cracker with a touch of coconut. I found it needed to warm a few minutes for the flavors of caramel, light citrus and slight earthy hop to come out, but as it warmed further, those flavors dissipated away, leaving a warm version of what I tasted cold. Weak flavors.

M- Light bodied and semi drying. Burnt, bready aftertaste.

O- I'm a big coconut fan, but this really wasn't what I was hoping for. The coconut never quite tasted like coconut, and every aspect being graded was weaker than I prefer. I don't want to dis Kona; Fire Rock Pale Ale is one of my go-to's, but this one just didn't measure up for me.
