Pours a clean, deep amber to brown in color with a light tan head. In the aroma, sweet caramel and a small citrus note. In the taste, cocoa powder and a small caramel roast. A small bite and a lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dry orange citrus in the aftertaste. Big cocoa in taste, lots of orange citrus, but just above average.

A- Light reddish mahogony body with a small tan head.

A- Sweet malty toffee aroma. Quite prevalent coconut. Light on the nutiness.

T- Initially a nutty brown flavor, but toffee and coconut come through strong. Slight bitterness on the finish, but still very sweet.

M- Light body, but a sweet flavor that sticks around. Moderate carbonation.

D- Honestly I hate coconut, if that is your thing it could be enjoyable. Even then I find it slightly watery. Not my favorite, but not a bad brew.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a brown color and a clear consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Fair lacing.

S: A somewhat underplayed aroma of cocoanut, malt, and the brown ale nuttiness.

T: Tasted of cocoanut, vanilla, malt, and the aforementioned nuttiness. Definitely not your typical brown ale flavor - this is much sweeter - but pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

M: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: While this beer does have some bumpy spots, it's still a drinkable brew.

12oz bottle. Bottled on the 15 March 2012.

A - Brown reddish color. Small head with low retention and limited lacing on the glass.

S - Roasted coconut, malty, a bit spicy, and some gentle hop in the back.

T - At first, taste is dominated by coconut and malt. Hop progressively shows up to finish on a gentle alcohol warming touch.

M - Good carbonation. Medium body. Quite smooth on the palate.

O - Aromas and flavors are mild, but too discrete to my taste. Though, it's an unusual and pleasant beer!

On-tap 4/25/2012 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub, in Pawtucket, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick on the glass.

S: The aroma contains maple, nuts, caramelized malts and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out with strong and sweet flavors of maple and caramel followed by a hearty malt character and a touch of honey. However, I didn’t pick up any of the coconut flavoring. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sweet.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, it’s very solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a Jester King pint.

A- pours a dark amber with a 1 finger light tan head. Small traces of lacing remain on the glass.

S- huge waves of coconut that gives an almost vanilla aroma, burnt sugar, maple syrup.

T- some malt flavor but again dominated by the toasted coconut. Sweet malts and maple sugar.

M- light body, medium carbonation.

O- I actually enjoyed this beer. Definitely plays to the coconut side of the beer.
