Had a draft of this at Duke's Waikiki with dinner.

I might have been happier with this if I hadn't had a Deschutes Chainbreaker before it. It had practically no aroma that I could detect. To be honest, it looked to me like Bud Lite, and it might as well have been.

On tap at Leilani's in Lahaina, HI.

Pours a clear gold with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, honey, and grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with sweet malt and slight fruity flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is refreshing and easy to drink in the Hawaii heat.

Reviewed from notes.

Had in a pint glass.

This beer is gold color, hazy, and has a lacy white head.

It smells like malts and a touch of hops.

It's taste is rather light, some cereal malts and a bit of pine hops.

This beer is rather thin with a decent amount of carbonation.

This beer was OK, it was #11 on our beer list of Hawaii. Went nice with our burgers, sunshine and a rooster. We were on Kauai.

On tap at Hula Grill in Lahiana, HI.

Light in color, smell, and flavor. Barely any malt flavor, or any flavor for that matter. Taste is very light and weak, not much better than a standard american lager. Very drinkable, but not impressive. Mostly forgettable.

A - clear yellow body, low head, carbonarion apparant.

S - light bready aroma, real simple.

T - light bready body, a little grassy. Really simple and clean.

M/D - light body and watery but appropriate. Plenty of flavor for the low abv. Odd that offer two of the same style.

Pint at Leilani's in Whalers Village on Maui for about five bucks, drank three weeks ago, reviewed from notes

A-Pale golden yellow color, very minimal white head, no retention, no lacing
S-Some sweet and bready malts, some grassy accents, mild hoppiness, straw, and a hint of lemon juice
T-Watered down throughout, starts off with a bit of sweet malt which is odd for a blonde, then some hops in the finish, gets less flavorful as it warms and becomes rather flat, needs more dryness
M-Light, somewhat dry, and slightly crisp mouthfeel, pretty weak overall, needs more carbonation, thin body, taste does not last
D-Low ABV and weak taste allows this to go down very easy, light on the stomach, nice for a session, did the trick on a hot day

Never heard of this one before so I had to give it a shot even though I am not a huge fan of blonde ales, supposedly tap only beer which makes sense because this is the only place I saw it during my trip, would probably skip nex time, worth trying if you like lighter beers and just want something new

On tap at Kona brewery in Hawaii Kai.

A pale golden with no head and very light carbonation seen rising.

Aroma is very light with some malts in the background. Not much.

Taste is of light hops, malts, sweet and quite flowery. Not much exciting going on.

Mouthfeel is light. Rather dead on the tongue.

Overall, it is quite drinkable due to the low ABV and nothing offensive. But, it really lacks character. Sort of like a macor lager [though not supposed to be in that style]. Not one I will seek to have again.

On-tap at Duke's Canoe Club at the Kauai Beach Resort in Hawaii.

Really not that bad at all. Very light color with a lot of carbonation, nice white head about 2 fingers thick off the tap. Smelt a bit sweet but very light, not much there for the nose. On a hot day in Kauai, this was great. Went down smooth and easy with a crisp taste and no real lingering aftertaste to bother me in the pool/ocean.

I honestly could have had several of these, not much alchohol and a nice easy flavor make it a true summer blonde, which in Kauai is a season that appearantly lasts nearly all year long.
