Feb. 2013: 330 ml shared bottle. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate sweetish aroma, some pilsener malts and grass, not unpleasant though. Medium sweet (or medium dry, if you like) flavour, fairly clean, a little hops in the finish. Could have been worse.

Poured into a Reuben's Brew pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a somewhat fizzy, half finger white head that dissipates to sparse patches and a ring around the glass. Aroma of lager malt, mild corn and light grainy notes. Flavor is moderately grainy lager malt, some corn sweetness, light grassy hops, flavor drops off into the finish which leaves the grassy hops somewhat stark and mineral. Medium boded with light creaminess and sharp carbonation; almost over-carbonated. Classic international version of the adjunct lager style, with the mild malt with corn sweetness and a bit more graininess than the domestic ones. Flavor starts out OK, but attenuates and leaves a mildly rough finish.Although it claims to be celebrated throughout the region, it is an mediocre to average lager. At least its in a brown bottle; could be worse skunked.

Drunk from the bottle in Barbados. An acceptable beach beer when very cold. Becomes unacceptable as it warms. Basically just like every other bog standard, cheap & sweet macro lager.

Drunk directly from a bottle while traveling in Guyana, so ignore the look score. Aroma is very malty and one dimensional, and the taste matches that, although there’s a sweetness upfront followed by an unpleasant aftertaste. Too high of carbonation for my tastes. Overall just too harsh and unrefined to make me want to down multiple of these or drink every day.

Barbados was hot and humid.
This beer was hoppy, watery and above all cold.
It's a decent beach beer.

Look: Very pale yellow. One finger of fizzy white head with decent retention.
Smell: Definitely skunked. Sweet corn syrup underneath.
Taste: Slightly skunky corn adjunct malt with a metallic aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Seltzer.
Overall: Stick to rum.
