Stop 2 on the Stahlsturm tour.... late on a Friday night...
Not a big place at all... entering from the outside gets you into a hallway with numerous photos of the place in days gone by. A door on the right leads into the small Stube. There's a small service bar in the near left corner, with about 4-5 tables, chairs and benches (with comfy pillows!) making up the rest of the room. The room itself has lots of bright wood paneling about 1/2 way up the walls. Shelves hold many old pewter plates and mugs, ceramic mugs, old German artwork and other appropriate knick-knacks. It was a bit loud, but in a good way here. A bunch of regulars at the Stammtisch playing some sort of card game and carrying-on were amusing. Service was good, in a basic, germanic kind of way. Goss had 4 biers available: A Märzen (which I had, and enjoyed), a Helles, a Pils, and a Hefeweizen. A nice little place. Thnx to Stahlsturm and his Frau for the little journey here.
Prosit!!
