Served this blonde ale on tap at the brewery in a pint glass. Clear golden color produced a thin white head average retention and left a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma consisted of sweet malted grain no hops to speak of. Light in body this ale is crisp and refreshing. Decent summer or starter beer intro craft beer . Overall not very complex no hop flavor. Not something I would seek out again .

A - Basic yellow gold and very clear with a brief one finger head. Some white foam is left on the glass.

S - Smells husky and grainy...like a PBR or another grandpa midwestern lager.

T - Cornmeal, conflakes, and some husky cereal grains. A bit of funky hops give this a slight advantage over BMC brews, and a mineral water aspect adds a steely flavor.

M - Light bodied, fizzy, and thirst quenching after a long walk down the beautiful St. Charles riverfront on a hot summer day.

D - I could kill a couple of these after a long hot walk, but it's really not a great beer. This is a fine basic lager for those who normally drink BMC swill. Not altogether terrible, but I would never guess that this is a micro brewed beer.

At the brewery. Poured a small sized white head with fine-sized bubbles that fully dissipated. The body was carbonated and clear with a pale yellow hue. The nose was malty and it had a tingly and smooth mouthfeel. This beer had a fair amount of lacing to it. Not a beer that I was at all impressed with as it definitely lacks character.

I did not think this beer was as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be. It was a good looking beer. There was an above average white lace and head. Medium carbonation with almost a medium mouthfeel. It has a slightly cloudy blonde/gold body. A rather beany aroma with a hint of mixed fruit. The flavor was somewhat grainy with a small bitter sweet finish.

Light gold, no head, no lace.
Yeast odor, light wheat, maybe some butter but I couldn't be certain due to a lot of smoke in the area.
The tast was bland, stale, and lifeless. Not only was it bland it tasted skunky with no mouthfeel. It reminded me of a glass of beer left on the counter for an hour.

Tasted at the Trailhead Brewpub on 02/23/06.

Light yellow-gold color with a low ring for the head. Nice grainy aroma and flavor with a touch of fruitiness and the perfect amount of hops to balance it out. Light bodied, clean, and very drinkable session brew.

A nice balanced Blonde Ale which many brewpubs are unable to pull off.

Another bottle from my trade with Ragingbull. Served at cellar temp into a pint glass. the beer pours a champagne clear golden hue with minimal bleached white head foaming up and fading to only a wispy island almost immediately after settling.
Aroma is mild grainy malt and a little sweet fruit, white grapes and some floral hops, but pretty mild on the nose overall.
The beer is light bodied with mild rolling carbonation that barely enhances the texture.
Flavor is mild with some sweet malt and a bit of grain plus some citrus notes, more of an orange flavor than grapefruit. A little bit of an off flavor buried in the beer kind of phenolic like a plastic or rubber taste.
The beer is very easy to drink and my pint is almost empty before I know it. Not a very interesting beer and possibly slightly flawed, I wouldnt recommend.

Brought to table in 6oz taster glass. Very pail yellow. Little head and no lacing. Slight aroma of malt. Thin cider like taste with good carbondation. Very thin mouth feel. My son who also had the 6 serving taster thought it was Bud lite. Maybe it is brews to suit those who like mass produced lite beer?

Pours without much head and leaving no lace. Pale cloudy yellow color in other words insipid. Strange blonde, nose is a sour wine. Starts and finishes sour, masking any malts or hops. Finish has similarities to the Missouri Brown Dark Ale. Medium carbonation and light to medium bodied.

Beer had a yellow color with a small head. It had a faint aroma but could not identify. The beer had a light taste but lacked any real flavor. Sort of reminded me of a light beer, not bad just missing something

As the brewey is close to "Budweiser City", the Blonde Ale seems to be the brew of choice by local patrons.

Pours a clear yellow color. 1/5 inch head with slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of yeast, adjunct, and some sour smelling malt. A little to much like an American Adjunct than an American Blonde Ale. Smooth and crisp mouth feel with an average carbonation level. Tastes of earthy malt, some slight grape-fruit flavor, and mostly lager background. Overall, not a beer I would recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed on-tap @ Trailhead Brewing Company in St. Charles, MO for $3.50. Tapped from the Yellow Tap Handle w/ Trailblazer Blonde on it into a 16oz Pint Glass.

Aroma- Has a sweet, malty aroma that starts off this "lager" like brew. Can't find any hops or any other characters but average for a Blonde Ale.

Appearance- Received with less than a .5 finger head and immediately disappears. Has a light yellow, almost golden colored body that has good clarity. Leaves no lacing behind.

Flavor- The flavor starts soft characteristics especially in the malt/wheat department. Very easy going with a sweet, semi-dry finish.

Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth, and has nothing that gets in the way of the drinkability.

Overall Impression- For a blonde ale, average but very smooth and enjoyable! Wouldn't mind ordering one of these again with a meal or appetizer. Go for this one if you want a starter brew.

This lightly colored blonde ale possesses a nice sticky lace emitting a clean, malty fruit aroma. The body is smooth and helps support a very well balanced flavor with a lingering hop spice. Very good.

Had to try the blond and its cousin, the Raspberry (yech). The blond pours a lite, clear straw color, decent white head with a small touch of malt aroma. Taste was much more than, say, bud lite – had a tangy, citrus flavor. ‘Course, the texture was somewhat thin, but all in all, you could drink a few of these.

This beer poured as a slightly cloudy, golden glass with slight, lingering, white foam. There was no detectable aroma. The taste was of light malt and some yeast, and seemed to have a flight wheat flavor, though the bartender assured me that there is no wheat in this ale. The mouthfeel involved the feel of carbonation (light) on the tongue. I rate the drinkability a little low because this beer did not have that appealing a taste to me.

Well trailhead is a really neat place, everyhting looks nice, not super loud and while they allow smoking it is not intrusive. But the beer is no good. This "ale" has less flavor than a budweiser, and calling it an ale is lunacy. It is pale in color with hardly any head, hardly any aroma an hardly any taste. While the atmosphere Is great, they need to improve the beer.
