Pours a dark brown with copper highlights with a 2 inch head that held together nicley and left great lacing.
Very aromatic brew. Malty, hearty fruit, and possibly a touch of caramel and chocolate hidden in there too.
Taste follows the smell. Flavorful and robust. Sweet and smokey with some alcohol flavor.
Smooth drinking, nearing silky feel with sharp, but proper carbonation.
Pretty good beer overall, not my favorite though.

Served a deep amber color with a thick tan head that faded slowly to nice lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, some malt and bit of caramel sweetness. Seems to be just a hint of smoke hidden in the background. Taste follows the aroma with a mixture of the dark fruit and caramel sweetness. Has a nice mild bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth texture and nicely balanced. Easy drinker. Very nice offering for the style. having this in an Irish pub adds a bit to the character.
