Normal Schlafly label but it is purple. Advertised as a scotch style ale.
A: NIce two finger head, fades slowly. Dark rich amber color, opaque end of being translucent.
S: Maly, caramel, coffee, chocolate.
T: Sweet flavor, malty, very tasty.
D: Very good evening beer. Wish this was not part of a mix a six.

Served a deep amber color with a thick tan head that faded slowly to nice lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, some malt and bit of caramel sweetness. Seems to be just a hint of smoke hidden in the background. Taste follows the aroma with a mixture of the dark fruit and caramel sweetness. Has a nice mild bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth texture and nicely balanced. Easy drinker. Very nice offering for the style. having this in an Irish pub adds a bit to the character.
