Glass Used: Tumbler
Appearance: A deep dark brown with a finger thick tan head. Lacing is minimal; a thin film of foam seals the surface.
Smell: A dark roast black coffee aroma fills the nostrils. I get some roasted malt characteristics as well. A lot of roast going on here.
Taste: Tastes like malted ice coffee. Not too heavy but the coffee is the star here. If you like the flavor of iced black coffee, with a hint of sweetness, then this beer is for you. The finish leaves a slight bitterness associated with a stout.
Mouthfeel: Creamy up until mid palate where it gets a bit thin in the finish. It's rather pleasant. Medium carbonation.
Overall: This is a great black coffee stout. I get sweetened iced black coffee during the Summer so this is right up my alley. Recommended if you like those flavors.
