12oz bottle poured into tulip
Pours opaque mahogany color with deep dark hues. Fluffy tuft of tanned head builds up, slowly collapsing into wispy film and rings of patchy lacing.
Smooth roasted coffee beans in the nose with hints of creamy sweetness. Touch of chocolate and cocoa, a hint of vanilla with caramel and dark roasted malts.
Refreshing blast of invigorating coffee beans and roasted tones. The coffee bitterness is super mild in this one, followed by hints of sweetness with cocoa and a dash of vanilla. Roasted dark malts and caramel backbone. Smooth finish with lingering coffee dryness.
Medium body, well carbonated, creamy and smooth on the tongue. Well crafted, drinkable coffee stout without the acrid bitterness that ruins some of similar ilk. Schlafly should get more attention these days - their beers are continually tasty year in and year out.
