Poured into a pint glass
A-A very deep dark redish orange brown. Clear and nice frothy head.
S-Excellent. carrot cake, cumin, thinking of holloween in August.
T-Jumps out with a bang and cloves, cinammon. Very good balance of character, pumpkin profile and hops throughout. Strange but a hint of cheery at the finish.
M-Could replace my morning cup of coffee. Like biting into a satisfying pumpkin creme brulee. Not too filling, just enough.
I liked this beer more than I expected. Have always staid away from pumkin ales but I could/would drink this anytime of year.

Had on-tap at the Schlafly release party at El Bait Shop.
Appearance- Light amber, almost no head.
Smell- Spices, nutmeg I'm particular. Pumpkin seeps its way through there as well.
Taste- I'm not usually a pumpkin ale guy but hats off to Schlafly on making one heck of a pumpkin ale. The nutmeg, cinnamon and other spices are blended really well with the pumpkin.
Overall- Most pumpkin ales teeter one way or the other but this one gets it right. Best balance I've had from one yet. I'd put it over ST Pumpking for sure. Just wish I was drinking this in October and not June.
