Poured from a bottle dated 8/12/11 into a tumbler glass.
A: Crystal clear orange/amber colored beer. Pours a fizzy two finger head that faded after a while, not immediately. Minimal lacing left on the glass.
S: Nice vegetal pumpkin aroma with some spices in the background: nutmeg and cinnamon leading the way. Nice caramel malt aroma in there as well.
T: Vegetal pumpkin. Caramel and maybe some biscuit malts. And then the spices round it out. There's a bit of a lingering boozy astringency at the end. Not a huge fan of that.
M: This is a relatively thin bodied beer, perhaps I could be convinced that it's medium-thin, but that's as far as I'd go...leaves a lingering dry vegetal coating in the mouth after you swallow. Moderate carbonation.
O: This is a well-rounded pumpkin ale. You definitely get that vegetal gourd/pumpkin flavor and mouthfeel which I enjoy...and the spices aren't overpowering...they are proportionate to the actual pumpkin qualities. I think it's just a touch too thin and I could have done without that lingering astringency at the end. But overall, a very cohesive example of a pumpkin ale.

Pour/Appearance: A reddish hue with a deep copper when held to light. Minimal head that frothed a bit immediately after the pour and quickly spread to the edges only. Full lacing disappears in a few seconds.
Smell: Like face planting in a homemade pumpkin pie. Nutmeg and other spices. Some grassy hops.
Mouthfeel: Sharp carbonation and relatively light on the palette with a dry finish.
Taste: Slightly bitter from the earthy hops smelled, but the most noticeable is the pumpkin and cinnamon/nutmeg spices.
Overall: As ready as I was for a good seasonal ale, I was still pleasantly surprised by this selection. The brewer has done an excellent job bringing out robust pumpkin flavor without crafting something overpowering or too bitter. I'm glad I purchased this in a 6-pack and might well be back for more.

12 ounce bottle. "Bottled with love on 9/10/2013" on the bottom of the front label. Nice-fresh, highly rated seasonal beer.
Pours hazed darker amber, very minor head, leaving some fine strands of lacing.
Nose has a good dose of pumpkin pie spicing.
Full flavor and full bodied, rich pumpkin notes, more typical spicing, but everything tastes and smells fresh and pungent here. Nicely done. 8% flexing its attitude, but exhibiting no boozy bite.
If ya enjoy the style, this is one to seek out and enjoy.
Gonna try to put some away for thanksgiving. Gonna be nice with Turkey day dessert and as a night capper.

Pours a beautiful orange color. The nose is awesome. Makes you jump back and go "woah". Smells like pumpkin pie, spicy, a bit of cinnamon, very nice. Tastes like pumpkin pie. No sign of the ABV. Nice spice. Mouthfeel is medium to light with a decent amount of carbonation. This is a really good pumpkin ale. My first of the season this year. Glad they produced this. I recommend trying this if it is in your area.
