A: rusty in appearance. About 1 fingers worth of head formation, small lacing. Definitely one of the better appearing pumpkin ales I’ve seen.
S: not a huge pumpkin beer fan (because most are off balanced in my opinion), but this one has an amazing balance of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and of course, pumpkin. Definitely an amazing smelling brew, and the balance between the aromas is phenomenal.
T: very similar to the nose. A beautiful balance of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and there is an awesome brown sugar aspect that sweetens this one up. Not nearly as sweet as ST Pumpking, but far better balanced.
M: medium bodied, high carbonation, leaves a delicious after taste that is thoroughly enjoyable and wants me to take another sip.
O: so in all honesty, this is one of the best well balanced beers I have ever had. The brew isn’t complex, but the components make up this beer sit in perfect proportions. This is THE best fall seasonal brew hands down in my opinion. ST Pumpking doesn’t stand a chance against this one and neither does DFH Punkin. As previously stated, I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin beers, but everyone kept recommending this one to me. And now I see why.
