Big ups for the bottle.
A: Poured a super deep reddish copper color. One of the darkest pumpkin ales I have ever seen. Initially had about a finger and a half of slightly darker than white head. Poor head retention.
S: More of a roasted pumpkin nose. Some faint nutmeg in the back dominating the other pumpkin spices.
T: Wow. That is a big pumpkin taste. Reminds me of a better version of Southampton's. The spices and pumpkin are really well balanced. You even get a hint of malt in this which is unique and welcome.
M: Nice medium to thick body.
D: This is probably the 2nd or 3rd best pumpkin ale I have ever had. Pumking is the king. Then Bethlehem brewworks version and this are neck and neck. A really nice beer all around. Definately surprised me.
