120z bottle in Sam Adams glass
bottled on 2/20/09
A: Pours with a big fluffy off-white head that drops pretty quickly leaving a little bit of lace. Color is dark copper/light reddish, crystal clear.
S: Smells like a belgian, lots of spice, no banana at all. No hops.
T: Wheat yeast characteristics mixed with belgian-ness, on the spicy side, matches the nose, lots of clove. No malt presence, I expected a little caramel given the color. No hops either.
M: Crisp, well attenuated, highly carbed, tongue coating, seems to leave something behind in my mouth
D: This goes down very easy, a great summer beer. Could possibly be used to convert a BMC drinker in that it is not "heavy" or "bitter". One of the best american wheats I have had, I will be buying this again. Highly recommended.

Holy Banana!!! This was pretty darn good, definitely not what I was expecting. It tastes like a hefeweizen cranked up to 11. There is so much banana goodness in here, very tasty. I can see where this one would get tiring though. This is a one and done beer, not something you are going to drink a few of, due to the heavy nature.

Look: Flat, dark brown. Smell: Aromatic banana. Taste: HOLY banana! Some chestnut. Feel: Medium mouthfeel. Overall, Tally man tally me bananna, this is ridiculously overboard with banana flavor!
