750ml bottle: 2010 vintage. This one pours a hazy coppery color. Pretty much no head on it. This has a really nice nose. It’s got a bit of caramel malt, some vanilla, oak and some fruitiness also. The taste is also very good. It has a subdued sweetness from the caramel malt, notes of the vanilla, oak, some faint cherry. This is really an excellent barleywine.

2011 Vintage

Pours a copper color with a one finger light beige head, with good retention and spotty lacing. The aroma has caramel, citrus, oak, and vanilla. Smells nice.

Tastes sweet with caramel, toffee, citrus, vanilla, and dark cherries. The alcohol is noticeable, but not intrusive. Has a nice warming effect on a cold winter night.

Medium bodied with soft carbonation, with a caramel and toffee aftertaste. Overall a nice beer. Too bad it is listed as retired. I would like to try this again.

2010 vintage. Popped this baby open tonight. 3 years of age on it. Never had a fresh one so I really have nothing to compare it to, but oh well. Pours nicely into my tulip glass. Smells nicely of Barleywine-like stuff. Oak, vanilla, sweet caramel. Taste is similar, but has a little more booze flavor than I'd expect after three years. Mouthfeel very nice, thick and creamy. Overall very solid. Too bad this is retired.
