Picked this up a Roof Bros in Paducah KY, cool find!

Pours caramel with 2 fingers of cream colored head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Rich Bourbon scents, vanilla, oak

T: Butter rum, toffee & oaky dryness up front. Slight booze warmth as this warms up, a nice mellow sourness develops as well in character with the Bourbon. Nice bourbon flourish in the finish, honey & toffee as well

MF: Medium bodied, slight carbonation

A solid, flavorful barrel-aged ASA. Not quite as good as their barley wine or imp stout, but worthy of much love! A sipper to be sure

This beer has a deep brown color with an orange/amber hue. The head and lace are tan and average. The aroma of bourbon is dominant. The mouthfeel is creamy. The flavor is rich and definitely wood aged. There are some mild roasted malt tones. It is mainly sweet with hardly any bitterness. It was crazy that I had to drive to Kentucky to get a Schlafly and I live in Missouri.

Appearance: Poured a copper color with a reddish hue. Has a medium off white head that that a thin lace around the edge of the glass.

Smell: Smell is sweet and light. Caramel and malt are the most dominant the nose. Also seems to be a slight alcohol undertone.

Taste: Not as sweet as the nose would lead you to believe. Has a little bit of spice to it but the malt is flavor was not very prevalent. A slight bitter twang at the end.

Mouthfeel/drinkability: Carbonation was very light and the body was was light and crisp. Overall very drinkable but the flavors could be a little bit stronger.

This is an experimental brew from Schlafly and they sent these kegs out to their distributors.
Kane had one in Paducah, Ky. at Roof Brothers.

Pours out a really clear light ice tea color with three fingers of fluffy creamy white suds.
Smell is malt sugar and caramel. A woody aroma is in there too but doesn't seem like oak. It seems at times to be a grassy smell.
Taste is mellow malt and a spice like corriander or allspice. Not a lot of sugar and you can't tell anything about the abv. This is a very mellow easy drinking beer.
Mouthfeel is very clean and no alcohol is left in the palate but some of the spices stick around.
Drinkability is very high here. Just a good beer from a middle of the road brewery.
