Appearance: Golden amber color with accents strong on the amber side. Finger of head on the pour which was present while drinking. Some sticky lacing left behind at each level.
Smell: Pretty subtle aroma. Biggest player is some juicy, soapy, tropical fruity aromas. Slight spices with some really mild, sweet, bready malt tones. Medium bodied bitterness warms up with the beer.
Taste: Big juicy light fruits jump the palate with tones of mangos, kiwiws, oranges, and straw. Mild soap and prairie grass back it up. Bitterness is there but this brew certainly has a soft, sweet presence on the palate.
Mouthfeel: One word came to mind drinking this, crushable. Wouldn't be hard to put the sixer of this down in one night with how easy going it is on the palate. Tons of fruity sweetness if left behind with each drink. Carbonation is mild which adds to the easy going nature here.
Overall: Tasty stuff. One of the best offerings from I've had from Schlafly to date. Gotta say the Amarillo hops win out over the Centennial and Simcoe. Fruity, sweet, easy going.

Bottled with love on 5/17/10 fresh fresh fresh!
Poures a slight hazed dull burnt orange with sticky one finger white head atop, good carbonation.Aromas were a bit more muted than expected, lemon oil,and caramel malt mainly.Hops are uber assertive on the palate, almost like sticky hop juice, big grapefruit and pine resin,an overly ripe sort of tropical fruitiness comes in as well, there is a hefty caramel malt base that holds it all together. The alcohol stays in check for the most part and the mouthfeel is chewey and fantastic.A great IPA,bigger than most with nice hop flavor nuances.

Glows amber in the light. Faint aromas of catty hops and alcohol. I'm having a hard time getting too much off of it. Slightly sugary sweet malt upon entry, sweet berries and tropical fruit notes midway, and a crisp bite of bitter hops on the back-end. Very clean and suprisingly refreshing. It's easy to drink a few of these, even with it being 8% abv. Hopefully Schlafly will see to make this year-around.

"Bottled with love on: 05 19 2010" 12 ounce bottle. Pours cloudy, dull darker honey amber, frothy and loose medium tan head, that stays and leaves thick and high quality looking froth and lace. Herbal hop nose. Tasty hop bomb of a brew, tastes like a quality Colorado or Calif. IPA, uh yeah, that's a good thing..More herbal, then citric and grainy hops absorb onto the tongue. Malty base providing the 8% undercoating, rich and densely flavorful brew. More then ample yeast coating on the bottom of the bottle, makes things more clouded. Nice job by Schlafly here, quality/solid AIPA

Thanks for sending this my way, Shagtastic!
Clear dark orange with a nice, stiff, persistent head of eggshell white head. Leaves the glass lined with regular lacing. Very pretty IPA.
Very nice hoppy aroma: bright citrus and some tropical fruit presence. Just a bit of bready sweetness.
Moderately bitter flavor, pushed up against citrus and bitter melon and mango fruit characteristics. Well balanced and very drinkable.
Medium bodied with high carbonation. Crisp and disappearing.

on tap at Pazzo's (Lexington, KY)
clear amber body with good clarity; durable, creamy white head leaves the glass well coated with sticky lacing.
Aroma: moderately strong; unusual hop component is fruity but not citrusy excepting some grapefruit Also rather floral.
Flavor: a bit unusual too. Again, odd fruity component. A hint of vanilla; a touch floral. A good bit of grapefruit and grapefruit rind in the fnish and aftertaste.
Feel: light-medium bodied; medium carbonation that seems a touch low.
O: odd enough that I wonder if there's a quality control issue with this sample.

I got this one from my buddy Crabbicuss. Thanks a lot!
Poured a very nice cloudy golden color with an average amount of white head on it.
Smell is a little more malty than I'd expect but some hops are present as well.
Taste is pretty balanced. I'd like some more hop presence throughout. Good hop bitterness in the finish though.
Mouthfeel is light-medium. Good easy to drink beer.
Overall a pretty decent IPA that I wouldn't mind drinking quite a few of. Definitely quite a few better IPAs out there in my opinion though.
