Cloudy orangish-amber colored ale, the tight-bubbled thick and creamy tan head is a product of an aggressive down-the-center pour.
Great citrusy-spice hop presence in the aroma. The promise of caramel and bready malts lingers in the background but sneaks through here and there. Nice balance in the taste. Hearty grainy malt flavor, hops are much more subdued but come through as a spicy pine flavor.
This is a big bodied, thick beer. Heavy and a bit filling. A nice hearty ale on a cool fall day. I could not see following this up with another, maybe one but it's definitely not a session IPA. Close to DIPA IMO.
