For starters, this is an absolutely beautiful beer. A clear dusky amber, with about a finger of off white head. Decent retention, and good lacing.
This is going to be compared to their Tasmanian IPA quite frequently (and for obvious and legit reasons). They are both superb IPAs, but the nose is one arena where I feel the TIPA is superior. Vegetal grassy hops, a decent caramel balance, but it's more about the hops. Smell dry, and almost a little blunted. There's some floral and just something underlying it that is... seedy. Not nutty, seedy. Like when you're carving pumpkins, but if you take away the pumpkin parts of the smell: just seedy and stringy and vegetal.
Luckily, the disappointment of the aroma is the only aspect of this beer that underwhelms. The palate brings forth juicy tropical fruits, a bit of sweet citrus, a nice caramel malt to tie it together. There's almost a spicy characteristic (not hot spicy, but hop spicy) that I really enjoy. Shares a lot in common with it's Tasmanian brethren, and this is undoubtedly a good thing.
Crisp, clear, enjoyable, the bitter from the hops is not overwhelming, but just present enough... This is an eminently drinkable beer. I will miss it greatly when it and then I am gone.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass
Pours a hazy, deep golden color. Small head without much lacing.
Smells a little malty, which is odd. Maybe even a little sour. Not a whole lot of citrus, but it is here.
Taste is pretty hop forward at first, but falls of and a slight maltiness takes over. Aftertaste of hops with a little sweetness. Not much hoppy citrus, which I think is odd for an American style IPA.
Nice feel on the mouth. A little thick and malty. Not as crisp or light as most IPAs.
Good beer. Easy to drink.
