Pours a brilliant golden with a frothy, creamy, dense, white head that lingers.
Grainy malt and lightly floral hops form the aroma.
Flavor is slightly grainy, with soft floral notes, and a cracker malt crisp and bitter finish. There's a touch of tanginess.
Body and carbonation are moderate, finishing crisp and refreshing.
Very approachable beer. Nice example of the style, minus that slightly tangy note.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color pilsner with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy notes is not the most pleasant. Taste is also dominated by some grainy notes with a dry finish with light spicy finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not sure if I got a bad bottle here but this was not the most pleasant and I had hard time finishing a single bottle which is not what I was expecting considering the style.

A: Pours a pale and clear yellow color with very little carbonation that doesn't keep up and about a finger of head that dissipates too quickly and leaves no indication that it was ever there. Not much going on here.
S: My first whiff, I got a good amount of that unwelcome trademark-German funk that I don't sense much of now that I'm trying to discern a little more out of it. The aroma is a little faint, and the hops are sensed only as a faint note. I get a good amount of lemon citrus and pepper. It's kind of pleasant actually.
T: A very full pilsner taste. A good amount of blunt hops and a slight hint of citrus. I get way too much pepper, but it's not a bad taste, and I'll give this pilsner some points for going big with its flavors.
M: A full-bodied taste deserves a full body to go along with it, and this mouthfeel is rich, creamy, carbonated but not heavy at all. It also leaves some dryness after the drink. It once again goes big for a pilsner, but it hits a great note with the mouthfeel.
O: Well, the mouthfeel certainly makes this pretty pedestrian beer something special and unique, at least from what I've had of pilsners. I don't know if this is something I'm really going to want to drink often, but it at least takes risks and is memorable in a style where being forgettable seems acceptable.
