Reviewed from a growler.

Pours a glowing amber with heavy yeast and hop sediment. It's medium, sticky tan head holds well and leaves a lot of lacing. The aroma is extremely fresh and fragrant with tons of just-picked Cascade hops over a thick and sweet foundation of caramelly, bready malt. That Cascade freshness carries over into the flavor, with lots of grapefruit and pine. Strong backbone of toasted bread, and caramel malt. The body is medium-thick, with a touch of dryness on the finish. This already tasty brew got better and better towards the end of the growler as all the sediment that had settled out added more body, smoothness, and hop flavor. A remarkably solid harvest ale.

My first trip to the brewery. They were cleaning out the mash tun and the whole place smelled great. Had this on tap, small head, clear golden copper with some lacing.

Aroma was nice with cascade hops, fruity and floral.

Taste was a surprise. I was expecting a bitter hop bomb, but it was a smooth hoppy beer exploding with grapefruit. Drenched with hop oils that left a smooth light bitterness through a long aftertaste. It's all about fresh hops.

Very smooth and very drinkable. They new how to use these hops to there fullest. A great tribute to a fresh hop beer.

pour is light orange and copper with a light haze. fluffy head and great lacing. nice retention.

light hops and light malts, slight hop bitterness. needs something more

light fresh hop oil flavors. very earthy with a slight citrus bitterness. malts are a bit too dominant and very noticeable at the finish.

nice light carbonation and a light body

this is a good harvest ale and maybe my favorite beer from schlafly in general, at least it rivals their best.

Hazy light amber color topped by a thick off white head. It settled quickly but left a delicate lace. Aroma has some hop flower, a little grapefruit and even a little orange. More citrus and a mild grass in the taste. Very fruity with a distinct bitter finish. Slick mouth feel. Decent drinakbility. I was hoping for more from this beer. There was a nice bitterness, but not much malt or hop flavor. Mildly disappointed.

A: Cloudy pale yellow to brown. Large white head.

S: Dank hop smell. Like the end product of dry hopping beer, I like it! Big time west coast hops

T: Again, DANK highly bitter hops. Citrus/piney hops. More aromatic than flavorful. Banana, fruityness.

M: Good carbonation, hops stick around. Decent body, slightly spicy that sticks around.

O: A little more dank taht I like but a good APA or IPA, whatever you want to call it.

Received a 20 oz. tulip pint. This offering was part of the Lupulin Land Harvest Hopcoming at the New Albanian Brewing Co. The body was a brilliant cantaloupe orange color with a modest head. Some sticky lace remained.

Smell was muffled by the smoky surroundings. Floral. Pine. Citrus.

Taste was Wow. Ruby red grapefruit. Pineapple. Sweet, but not cloying. Hops oil but moderate bitterness. Interesting. I would drink this regularly if I could. Website says the hops used are Cascade.

Mouthfeel was smooth. Medium bodied with mild/medium carbonation. Solid all around.

It came slightly chilled with a perfectly even cap of foam, it looked the part. Head retention was excellent and the copper hue sunk leaving notches of lace all the way down.

As far as IPA's go, it was subtle, but the flavors were there and the balance of sweet and bitter was solid. Fleeting hints of late season spiciness accompanied a slightly citrusy and floral hop profile were appreciated.

Despite the thick and creamy feel, the beer just went down like water on a hot day. The carbonation added nothing more than a fuzz around the edges, nothing could distract from the smoothness.

The drinkability is fantastic, you may not get the edge of an IPA, but the bitterness is there.

tan in color with a slight haze, nice head and nice lacing for a cask serving. I'm already in anticipation!

The smell and taste are oh so hoppy, great job on this one. There's a nice earthy, pungent component and a good subtle wood flavor.

Body is medium and so smooth from the cask, this stuff is superbly drinkable and tasty as hell. If you're at the taproom this is a must-try selection.

The beer pours out a light golden hue with medium to high carbonation that leaves some light lacing around to top. The beer is very aromatic and has a fresh and fruity (almost peach like) ester to it. It’s very much an American IPA by style and is a real pleasure to smell (thanks to that wet hopping). The taste is light with a slight hop bittering finish. Given the amazing aroma, we thought this beer would have a more powerful flavor profile, but it’s rather light tasting. Overall, the beer is very refreshing to drink and is easily sessionable for an IPA drinker.

Hop Harvest I assume is supposed to be wet hopped. It basically seemed like an IPA or APA. Maybe my palate isn't strong enough to notice the difference. Strong hop presence with little noticeable malt. The smell is great and hoppy but the drinkability is probably a little on the low side. I generally like hoppy beers and this one is good but nothing terribly interesting.

Taking full advantage of the recent harvest season, Schlafly doesn't wait on the hops to be prepped for long-term storage. They get them fresh-plucked from the field and enshrine them in all their fresh glory in their Hop Harvest Ale!

Pouring a deep golden and light amber hue, the beer carries the signature dry-hopped haze and floats a creamy blanket of foam. Strongly withstanding, the beer continues to impress with breaking rings of lace.

Its bright aromas captivate the nose with its bright citrusy tone. Grapefruit and orange are obvious. But a deeper sniff reveals more tropical and earthy tones- mangoes, apricots, pineapples all bleed into a grassy, herbal and chivy note. All of that dances on a floor of light caramel and light bread crust.

To taste, its sweeter influences take hold early. its medium malty sweetness is lightly of honey, caramel and toasted bread. As the hoppy flavor force a balance in the middle, it does so with acidic fruit noted of pink grapefruit, freshly zested oranges, the pulp of tropical fruits and its juicy grassiness. Trailing with fading sweetness and ripening bitterness, the beer finishes with that grassy-turn-piney taste that cripsens up its finish nicely.

Medium on the palate, the beer's early malt sweetness and grain starchiness is short lived as the beer favors hop dryness thereafter. It goes from sweet support to crisp dryness in a hurry as its closure goes fruity, then grassy, then with deep pine resins.

Without being the most hop-forward IPA/Pale Ale, it really gives the beer enthusiast something to celebrate that typical IPAs can't give. it had that special grassy (chlorophyll) flavor that assists the fruit and earth without distraction.

A - Poured out a clear, orange color with gold highlights. It had a one-finger, off-white head of thick foam. It had nice retention and left some lace.

S - It smelled of citrus and tons of grapefruit with mild pine. It smelled of sweet caramel, too.

T - Great grapefruit flavor with orange and other tropical fruit flavors. Very nice burnt toast maltiness. Just enough hop bitterness to balance it all out.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied beer with a dry finish.

D - This is a really good IPA. I'm glad my friend scored me a growler of this.
