Was able to walk over to the Tap Room on my last trip to St. Louis. I have enjoyed all of their beers I have tried so far, so was happy to go to the source.
Large open bar area in a reconditioned industrial building. No TVs to distract at the main bar, but the football game was playing next door in the smaller smoking area. There were about 10 regular taps plus 2 seasonals with a full range of styles. I tried the Coffee Stout and the No. 15, both recommended by the barkeeper. Hearty and simple rustic food on the menu, I had a bowl of beer cheese soup (served with a shot of Pale Ale) and an order of beer bread (served with 2 butters - garlic and blue cheese). Someone had the Brewer's lunch which also looked very good (platter of cheese, meats, bread).
T stopped at the small hostess station to check out the beer to go, and quickly grabbed a bottle of Oak Aged Barley Wine (which is now safely tucked away in the cellar).
Good beer, good food, I will be back.
