A: Pours a crystal clear medium golden yellow in color with significant amounts of active visible carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass almost constantly and some light amount of yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy white head that slowly reduces to a thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of wheat with lighter notes of clove and banana plus just a light amount of yeastiness.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of yeastiness with light to moderate flavors of banana and clove. Light amounts of breadiness and just a touch of yeastiness. Minimal amounts of bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation.
O: The ultimate session beer (in my opinion) and a great beer for the warm summer weather. Very enjoyable and refreshing.

one of my favorites while stationed in Babenhausen Germany in the Army. I spend many sunday nights spit shining my boots and pressing my BDUs while drinking this.
I used to be a big fan of this type of brew but i have moved on to IPAs,
good stuff. Wish i had some now.

500 ml bottle poured into Weizen glass.
Clear golden color. Large head after pouring but fades away quickly and leaves almost no lacing. Looks like a standard lager but less carbonated.
Aroma is nice. I can smell wheat, yeast, citrus and apples.
Taste seems a bit to sour for the style. It isn't really unpleasant but it seems a bit out of place.
Body feels light and soft. Not very carbonated.
Overall I wasn't impressed. The taste didn't seem right. It was too lemony and it left my mouth dry.

I must preface this review by saying that Im coming of a Weihenstephan Kristall, but I needed to compare.
Bright golden body, but I want more. The head was seriously lacking. It wouldnt be bad for an IPA, but I want big and foamy. but I got a nice tight small bubbled decently thick head.
Ok the smell. I dont even think lackluster is appropriate. I dont get much in the way of yeast ethers. I get a small hint of banana and just a touch of clove. Huge notes of corn and toffee with a hint of caramel.
The taste is so underwhelming, its bordering on bad. Maybe its the lingering Weihenstephan, but I can feel just a touch of clove. I just want something, but I get nothing. I mean I do get things like toffee and a smoothness that Id associate with lagers, but this is a Kristalweizen. Actually like quintuple checked every word on the bottle, because it didnt seem right. Its light bodied and drinkable.
The best word I can think of is muddled. Theyve got the right idea with some clove and banana sneaking in late, but its just sutck in the mire with the sweet adjuncts.
Just an epic fail all around

Appearance: Poured into a half-liter weizen glass. The color is clear, light gold. Three fingers of fluffy, thick head dissipated slowly to leave a billow lacing; eventually it settled to a thin lacing and ring around the edge.
Smell: No surprises and very straightforward. Sweet apple, banana, a little strawberry, grassy hops, yeast, and a little clove spice.
Taste: The mouthfeel is very light and refreshing, though it has a bready body to it. The yeast and brad are noticeable up front and are followed by apple, banana, and clove spice. The fruit flavors really shine after the beer has warmed.
Drinkability: High drinkability, but it lacks complexity and boldness. It is still a good brew.

Bottle into Grolsch pint glass in low altitude Galway, Ireland. Reviewed live.
A: Two finger head devoid of cream with decent thickness and retention. Clear dark yellow colour.
Sm: Light scent of just barley. Disappointing.
T: Creamed barley with malt and a sprinkling of hops. Fairly balanced, but poorly built as a kristall. Where are all the obligatory crystal hops? This is almost more a bad pilsner than a proper kristall.
Mf: Smooth and wet, but coarse towards the climax. Not suitable to the flavours of the body or the style.
Dr: Average price for a below average beer.

Drank from my Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a classic clear golden colour with a tight white head that retains well and laces.
S - Small hops and malt.
T - Hops up front , not much malt, I expected a little more from this beer.
M - Light to medium body with decent carbonation.
O - The Weihenstephan is a better version but makes an OK session beer.

[Best served in a Weizen glass]
Poured a medium yellow with a large white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and had poor lacing. The aroma was strong of yeast, light flowery hops and a straw malt with notes of banana. It tasted very light with the flavor being very yeasty and slightly bitter in the beginning and mellowed to a mild yeast flavor with a hint of banana and some spice. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a soft carbonation. Overall an OK light kristall weisse.

pours bright clear yellow with no head no lacing
smell is standard banana and clove
taste is very odd there is some funky rubber flavors along side the banana clove and a tiny bit of spice plus the flavors are watered down
mouthfeel is way too heavy for a beer that is thin in flavor
drinkability is not good when i can buy a Weihenstephaner for the same price

Newish arrival in our market, though Maisel's Weisse used to be here a few years ago.
Into a weizen glass, it billows up some and puffs above the rim at first. It's a bright, high-clarity honey gold, with racing carbonation streams. Kristalweizen is unnaturally clear through filtration, but it's a nice looking beer, with strong head retention. Personally I prefer the cloudy, opaque orange of a traditional Hefe.
Sweet earthy wheat aroma, some clove and bready spices. Seems a touch muted, though I don't know the age of the bottle. Sweet and bready flavors, more spicy clove, and maybe a tiny bit of oxidation. Not a dealbreaker though, this is a nice quaffer in warm weather. Verging on creamy, and generously carbonated.
A style seldom seen in the states, not too different from regular Hefes besides the appearance.

This is one of the best Weisse i have ever tasted. Poured in my Paulaner glass the beer shows itself from its best side. In the tall glass the beer looks perfect. Crystal clear.
A nice big fluffy head which only slowly disappears. Light yellow fluid with nice carbonation.
The is a lightsweet smell, fruits like banana and fresh smells like citrus.
The taste is very good, allmost perfection. Every sip is a pleasure. Wish i had bought some more!!
Ah well, there is always a next time that i visit Germany.

had this bier from a 1/2 litre bottle.
A: Pours a clearm yelloish color with a decent head with minimal lacing. Moderate carbonation. One can read through the bier...reminds me of a good pilsner look.
S: crisp, mild hops, fresh scent that is pleasing and inviting.
T: Rather understated, but that fits with the style of bier. Mod crispness, a pleasing taste.
M: A little dry after taste, nothing harsh or over bearing.
D: Easy to drink, a good flavor that keeps you coming back.
Overall, a good bier but not a great one. It is easy to drink and is a wonderful session bier. I do recommend this bier, enjoy, Prosit.
