On tap poured into a tall pilsner glass.

Pours dark brown with a thick off white head. Lots of bananas, clove, caramel in the nose. Great smelling beer. Taste follows the aroma very well, bannana, bubble gum, also clove in the taste. I have to say this thing is just plain great on tap, the creaminess is perfect, overall feel is medium and is drinkable as hell. I need to find this in bottles, if their in them. Very happy with this selection. (446 characters)

On-tap at Mission Dolores, Brooklyn, NY

A: The beer is hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bananas and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has a bit of sweetness along with additional hints of clove.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a rather tasty weizenbock that seems to have just enough banana flavors without being overpowering. The alcohol is also very well hidden from the taste. (625 characters)

Poured a cloudy gold body with minimal head and lace.
Aroma is boozy and dark fruit laden with some yeast/wheat going on.
Smooth, medium bodied, like the fruit sweetness coming off of beer and there are hints of tropical fruits and spice (I'm also getting bananas in a weird citric spice twang).
Not an overly powerful dopplebock but deceptive at 8.5% and I really like the fruit sweetness in this beer. (403 characters)

Draught@Monks Cafe, Stockholm

A: Murky brown with a creamy white/beige head. Nice lace.

S: Butterscotch, Chocolate, Banana, Sugar.

T: Spices, Chocolate, Caramel, Nuts, Toffee.

M: Creamy and filling but still an easy drink thanks to the wheat. Liquid candy!

Oh man, i really liked this beer. It is a bit on the sweet side but still very quaffable. I could easily put away a few of these during an evening. Gotta have this one again, soon! (442 characters)

A: Cloudy, hazy dark yellow, small head that dissipates quickly.
S: Some banana and esters, with a lighter, crisp and almost biscuit malt.
T: Banana notes shine through, with a nice crisp and toasty malt background. Spices very present, keeping it a very interesting take on the wheat doppelbock. Alcohol is unnoticeable but seems to bolster the other flavors, helping them pop while keeping them balanced.
M: Medium body, solid amount of carbonation that again works to balance the beer.
O: A really well balanced beer, taking what's great about wheat beers and stronger lagers and letting them exist pleasantly together. Quaffable and not too strong while remaining quite flavorful. (687 characters)
