Pours clear yellow with a small white head; smells of malt and yeast, but not much odor at all (I had to almost stick my nose in the beer to catch a whiff of anything).
Tastes malty up front, with yeast, wheat, faint hops and trailing lemon. Medium carbonation with nothing exciting about the flavor...in fact, this is quite boring and for $12 at Wildwood in NYC it was an insult as it didn't live up to the price tag. One of the most disappointing beers that I've had over the past few years. This has basic German beer taste, and while it was not bad, it just did nothing for me. I would not have this again unless it was free and there was nothing better to drink.

Pale wheat color. Brief head typical of a lager. Smell and taste of white grape juice. Very mild. Simple and subtle. Again, like a lager in its lack of strong characteristics. Standard effervescence.

Light gold body; lots of fine carbonation; while and billowy head, thick and creamy. Gently sweet, malty aroma; grassy; mild esters Malty, grainy taste; cracker; quiet yet balanced hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp and warm on the palate; a bare edge of alcohol dryness.
There is nothing like a well-made, crisp and clean German pilsner. As a fest beer, it nicely balances a warm, toasty malt base with just the right touch of subdued hop bitterness. It has fine looks and some outstanding aroma to it, too. A damn fine autumn beer...

My first from this brewery.
Poured into a Squatters true pint glass a nice clean/clear dark golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a nice thick/creamy/quick one-finger plus white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, with a nice touch of lemon, bready, kinda wheaty. The taste is nice, malty, hoppy, with some lemon, bready, wheaty, nice little sweetness. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty beer, a nice thirst quencher.

There are some beers that remind me of the places I've been throughout the world, and this one has the taste of Germany written all over it. That classic undeniable European malt hop characteristic
