Nice, somewhat different-tasting pils. Rather light in color, with nice head. Slightly weakfish aromas, but a little more body in feel. Taste is a bit different, maybe not as crisp as some pilsners but still satisfying. Almost a dry taste. Enjoyable.

Bottle served into a Sam Adams Boston lager pint glass.

A: golden hue, straw grass
S: noble pils hops, lemon, fresh blade wheat switch grass, clean fresh brushed stainless steel.
T: this is the perfect pilsner. Plenty of noble hops, beautiful wheat alcohol esters that blend accordingly . The hops pucker the mouth while the wheat lemon grass pilsner bite and produces a beautiful dry biscuit resin that flows into a lemon pucker tongue enveloping your taste buds.
M: amazing. Simply amazing. Crisp yet medium to full bodied. It fizs on your tongue until it sinks in and swells your taste buds and thickens your tongue. Seriously this is an experience you must have!
O: This is the perfect pilsner!

Appearance - This came out a beautiful highlighter yellow in color, definitely on the lighter side but simply gorgeous. The head was pure white and came up beautifully and the two went quite well together.

Smell - The nose is classic German Pils. The hops are extremely grassy and sharp with some nice straw. The grain really fights for its spot and just does break through the surface.

Taste - The hops come through exactly at the taste and the grain steps it up nicely. The two together are a knockout hit. Both are sharp, albeit the hops are much bigger, but I get so tired of Americans complaining that Germans don't make big hoppy beers well here you go.

Mouthfeel - This is no lightweight and almost qualifies as medium-bodied. It's as big as a Pils should get IMO. The carbonation is crisp and lively.

Drinkability - I wouldn't call it the smoothest Pils on the planet but I don't think it wants to be. This is big, bold, yet true to style. Anyone who gets a bit bored with German Pilsners should give this a go.

I picked up a 1 pint 9 oz bottle at Bierkraft a few weeks ago and decided to celebrate the weekend a little early. The pils is mostly straw colored in the glass with the fluffy head dissapating quickly. The nose is very nice with notes of malt. My initial impression was that this was a lighter beer but as I go, I'm finding more complexity and flavor. The malts are really coming out as it warms. The conditioning is very good and the Schonramer has a pretty easy going mouthfeel. Satisfying and drinkable. I like the balance in the lingering finish. Impressive.

Radek's bottle shared. No aroma. Pale yellow body, very little head. Dry, some pils taste, mineral, faint hops.Passable beer, unoffensive.Drinkable on a warm day or if the only beer about.Clean, slight fizzy carbonation.A tad lemony. Fair, but nothing special for style.

Schonramer Pils pours the expected bright, pale gold body beneath a firm head of bright white foam. The retention is good, and it leaves some rings and partial walls of lace, as well as some initial splashy "fingers" that reach upwards around the glass.

In the nose, lightly grassy, herbal, floral, and spicy hops sway atop a delicate, subtly sweet, and grainy maltiness. It's medium bodied and gently crisp in the mouth, leaving it to lightly tingle the tastebuds before it warms to become almost creamy smooth. The flavor is fuller than the nose suggests, and remains the same with the addition of a bit more spicy, gently herbal, and floral hops.

It's softer than some examples, but it still has a solid bitterness and finishes dry. In a way, it straddles the fence between the harder German version of the style, and the softer, more malt-based Czech original. Nicely done.

Presented in a 500ml bottle like the one shown and poured into a standard pint glass. Drank one while waiting in line at Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix.
Appearance: pale yellow color topped with a foamy white head that left noce rings of lace on the walls of the glass.
Nose: dusty malts and grassy hops notes. Good level of hops here.
Taste: some hayfield malt flavor and pretty well hopped with an herbal bite going on.
Feel: light- shading toward medium-bodied and refreshing.
Overall: actually, not too bad; mot as crisp and refreshing as I would have liked in a Pils but pretty tasty. Overall, no complaints.

Appearance- Light straw, just a tad cloudy and very-well carbonated. Nice, loose, white foamy head that has some staying power, but does eventually fall. Leaves just a trace of lace.

Aroma- Pretty sour for a pilsner. No hops, no cirtus or malt. Very clean aroma. Just a hint of green apples.

Taste- Whoa! Initial taste is the way it smells, mostly sour mash and lemons. But about 1/2 a second after it hits your tounge, you get a jolt of hops.

Mouthfeel- Light and crisp. Good, light body. Carbonation level enhances the flavor.

Drinkability- Not a day-time beer like most German Pilsners, but well worth a try.

A: The beer is crystal clear straw yellow in color and poured with a two finger high bright fluffy white head that slowly died down leaving a thin layer of bubbles consistently covering the surface. A moderate amount of carbonation is visible.
S: There are moderate aromas of grainy malts in the nose along with some notes of grassy hops.
T: The overall taste is quite malty and is accompanied by a relatively strong amount of bitterness from the hops in the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very crisp on the palate with a medium amount of carbonation. The finish is very dry and leaves you longing for another sip.
D: If you like bitterness, this beer is very easy to consume.

Very surprised to see this Pilsner (and its Dunkel sister) on tap in the Greenwich Union: the Meantime Brewery tap house. Reason being, I’d never heard of the brewery before.

Had a half pint just to review it on here.

This is one of the better Pilsner beers I’ve had and was certainly an improvement on the London Lager and Helles that Meantime had up against it on tap in their bar.

This oozed classic Pilsner: the colour, smell, body and overall feel of it just seemed right. Served well and at a good chilled temp it slipped down far too well.

I’ll not go into great detail (I only had a half don’t forget and I was on a mission to try a few brews that day), but this is well worth finding and trying if you get the chance.

A clear lemon yellow colored beer with a slight chill haze and a medium white head.

The smell is mildly sweet and grainy with a strong Nobel hop scent. Hop scent is spice and straw with herbs and a slight saffron scent.

The taste begins sweet grainy and heavy on the hop bitterness. VERY strongly hopped for a Pilsener this is quite bitter in the aftertaste. A bit spicy and a little straw in the taste but still this is herbal and bitter mostly.

The mouthfeel is good.

Lovely drinkability for those that like a Pilsener that is heavy on the hops. Hoppy to the point of being numbing to the mouth this is the next best thing to an Imperial Pilsener.

Poured from bottle into Hefe vase. Freshness date 20/8/11.

A: Straw color with pretty bubbles. Generous head dissipates to leave suggestive lacing.

S: Floral noble hop notes, perhaps Saaz, with refreshing slight citrus character

T: Perfect balance of hops and malt leaves slight fresh bitterness on the tounge. Grass and floral notes play center role.

M: A bit creamy, carbonation level just enough to keep it interesting.

This is an outstanding Pils. Make sure you get a fresh one and enjoy.

Saw this beer at the local German store and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I picked this beer up. Very good taste. It has a hint of lemon in some sips. It's a very light colored beer (think a light yellow). I'll pick this one up again on my next trip to the store.

BOM selection. Finally got around to drinking the last bottle and doing a review. 11.2oz bottle poured in to a Pilsner glass.

A- Pale, golden. 2 finger, fluffy white head faded to small rim. Not much lacing.

S- Flowery, herbal, sweetness.

T- Sweet (honey?), flowery, lemon citrus, crisp, dry bitter finish.

M- Good carbonation. Not much else to say.

D- Very easy drinking. I agree with BA tgbljb, the dryness leaves you wanting another sip. That being said, it's not a bad beer, not a great one. This beer just is. I had it with a Diablo Chicken Pasta (i was sure to give the beer ample tasting before diving in to the meal). It was a nice way to wash it down (should have had a good, hoppy ipa though).

Very pale white-ish light straw color with a nice full pillowy white head and nice active carbonation. Flowery lemony hop aroma and flavor dominate. Light malt flavor helps to balance a bit but bitterness definitely dominates. Light bodied but not watery with a nice clean but bitter finish.

A nice hoppy Pils !

Pours into my glass a super pale yellow, super super pale, with a puffy white head that leaves a ton of lacing.

The smell is maltier than most pilseners, with strong pale malt and a kiss of slightly medicinal/herbal hops.

The immediate thing I notice in this beer is a great mouthfeel. The taste is suprisngly citrusy with the focus being lemon. There is slight bitterness in the aftertaste. This is an extremely smooth and quaffable German pilsener.

This is a surprisingly solid German pilsener, it took me awhile to come across it, but I think I'm somewhat glad I did. It isn't the best, but it is a solid, solid German style pilsener.

Bottle dated 10.01.12 which I'm assuming is an expiration/best by date of January 10, 2012.

A: The beer pours a very pale yellow color with a rocky white head that is retained very well.

S: Definite skunk on the nose which worries me. Plenty of lager yeast and pale, cracker malts. Some lemon zest and floral hops, and a light fruitiness--maybe apples.

T: Pale malts with a soft bread flavor. Lemon zest, lightly bitter, earthy, and floral hops. Some cracker malts and a light sweetness. A light but pleasant beer.

M: Light in body and moderate to high in carbonation.

O: Would have been nice if it didn't have the skunkiness. Otherwise, not bad.
