Notes/Commercial Description:
Scream pierces reality, effortlessly slicing our sky, He flies over the Brewery just as Abe circled over Wisconsin’s 8th Infantry during the Civil War. He calls us to something bigger. Scream boasts an inspired 85 IBUs that reverberate cleanly though this IIPA. New Glarus Brewery grown estate hops join other Wisconsin grown hops to dominate this brew from Kettle Boil to Dry Hopping. You hold a deceptively seductive Original Gravity of 20.9 degrees Plato following the always 100% naturally bottle conditioned fermentation. Luscious Wisconsin grown and malted barley along with English Maris Otter malt is the bold heart of this lustful sensory enchantment. Surrender is inevitable so enjoy today.

A. White, puffy, frothy two finger head sits on top of a slightly hazy, light copper colored beer. Leaves a nice amount of lacing.

S. Big tropical notes of pineapple, mango and papaya along with a hint of cherry infused alcohol.

T. Pineapple, citrus and mango supported by a touch of malt sweetness. Finishes with nice tropical lingering bitterness.

M. Medium bodied with a hint of creaminess.

O. Really solid effort from NG - I would stack this stuff up against some of the most sought after DIPA's out there. Glad they've released this beer but hope it doesn't mean the end to IIPA as I prefer it a bit more than Scream due to its unique hop dankness.

Looks beautiful. Deep orange and amber liquid with white, thick lacing that never leaves the glass. A mosaic of lacy patterns that sticks around throughout the entire beer.

Aroma is extremely dank, earthy pine with grapefruit notes and some sweet malty cereal. Has a dank loamy earthy smell that I really dig.

Tastes bitter and citrusy with pine and some malt on the finish. All sorts of tart and citrus fruit notes come and go. Definitely get some apricot here and there. Boozy bite on the finish.

Mouthfeel is substantial but not overly thick or syrupy. Very easy drinking.

This IIPA kicks ass. It is already less dank than when first bottled so drink em if ya got em!

Pours a rusty red/orange, well carbonated and a thin head.

Aromas of orange and lemon peel are balanced with a bready malt back bone.

Wow! New Glarus can make IPAS! This was a total citrus hop bomb that faired very well on a side by side with Bell's Hopslam. Hopslam took the victory, but this was very similar and a close second.

Mouhtfeel wasn't quite right where I wanted it, not sticky and dank enough for me.

Overall I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for this again, delicious!

Bottle poured into IPA glass.

A - Crystal clear yellow body with lasting 1.5 finger head. Great lacing.

S - Medium-high intensity tropical fruit medley hop aroma overwhelms. Lightest hints of pine an citrus.

T - Hop character dominates with high intensity tropical fruit with solid punches of pine. Very little astringent bitterness.

M - Medium to light body, hints of residual sugar but work well to balance.

O - A world class IPA.
