Appearance - The beer was poured into a IPA glass, showing a golden copper color. There was a generous bubbly white head which left lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma was huge, with big notes of grapefruit, peach, and a hint of the malts to come.
Taste - On the initial taste, I detect big grapefruit. Further notes include grass and a very pleasant peachy malt. The aftertaste is more citrusy than bitter, but leaves a mild layer of resin on the back of the tongue. For a 9% ABV, this is a really pleasant drinker.
Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel is pretty spot-on for the style. I wish the taste would linger just a little longer.
Overall - I am not a big IPA guy, but I do like Imperial IPAs. For the style, this one is pretty spectacular.
