500ml bottle thanks to Steve. Copper colored pour with small, bubbly beige head. Peaches dominate here, both the aroma and taste.Aroma brings out some of the woody, barrel notes, while taste brings the peaches, tartness and some yeasty funk.

A: Decants to a shade of cafe noir with barn red hue, while sunlight transcribes a burnt henna to the orangey acquittals. Outside of the carafe, isolated deposits of an opaque (saddle brown) fog. The unlatched collar is comprehensive to formation, which offers an off-white tone near mint cream with a faded presence to old lace. Correspondingly, a retention of strength, seeing the slow recession, that’s marginally agitated to permit the shallow latticework

S: A time of life that favors the phenolic funk over fleshed peach, as the materialization is (now) to the infected involvedness. So, the aroma is yeast-derived with a contagious transmission of oak, while malt softly works the doughy institutes. There’s a mineral component that settles on salinity with a financed maturity on gunflint, as ethyl acetates build a solvency. Nonetheless, there’s still a sweet pleasantry behind those fruity gears, which offer a bit of vanilla to berry preserves, given the aged strain on those Michigan peaches. The development in time + the corresponding increments to ℉ are more perceptible to the spontaneous nature. Namely, rabbit-y phenols that attune horse sheds with orb-weavers, while backdrops lean on Shiitake mushrooms afore mold-ripened (bloomy) cheese. Moreover, a growing susceptibly to sherry, which later records those meaty cowhide embellishments, from the dry leathery kickbacks

T: A slightly vinous palate that comes with lactic qualities, as toasted malts detail an aged rusticity. The onset has a soft vibrancy on the matured peach provinces, while the age addresses the mechanics behind citrusy fruits with a decayed growth. Thereby, recognizing a rash funkiness on ponderosa lemons alongside (red-fleshed) navel oranges, before an apple peel bourbon accomplice to peach soda pops. The hop effect is fairly mild on the earthy expressions, from pine straw webs to resinous maple, while phenyl- acetates back spiced honey. By degrees, malt addresses the milder fruit profiles with a light riff on caramelized beeswax, considering the balmy progression, while continuing to report on peach purée with a granulized toffee coat. All the while, a stake for the infectious yeast cultures to muster up a frowsty deftness. This upbringing is a constant crusade on sweaty horse blankets with a cellared development on sylvan pharmaceuticals. Subsequent steps become enamored by the ventilated stretches on clocked time, which enhance an aridness to Amontillado. Correspondingly, a nutty cessation on warming oak that’s nestled with residues, from an old churchwarden

M: While there’s some dilution to the surfaced activity, the vintage maintains a carbonic bite for neighboring mousseux. The activity is therefore moderated, for inscribing acidity without inflating astringency, even as the decanter furthers the oxygenating state on the phenolic overhauls. Transversely, a varnished solvency to minerality, on account of that progressed state of oxygenation. At length, a feel that’s engaged amidst time, given the drying constitute with an oak & peach tannin postscript

O: The amount of time bunkered is a conditioning, of a subjective foregoing, from the Michigan peach compote to the bacterial spontaneity. Thus, an insurgence for the phenolic complexions to adlib a state of involvedness, from the attributable age to the more aerated pauses. An approach that’s rightfully mild on the brown ale side, considering the fermenting formulization on the low hop appeal, and strained (malted) fruitiness on the grained dexterity

Bottled in 8/2014; consumed on 3/2/2022

Pours a translucent, deep caramel/chestnut hue capped with multiple fingers of fluffy, off-white foam; great head retention leaves a half-finger of creamy cap along with a large, frothy collar and healthy spattering of defined, webby lacing strewn around the walls of the glass.

Aroma brings edges of bourbon overtaken by peach gummies into medicine cabinet funk and stone fruit Flintstone vitamins upfront; peach jam over the middle finds caramel esters fading to shreds of an exceedingly bright and clean funk peaking through the back end and closing impressions of the bouquet.

Taste opens with notes of peach Old Fashioned accented by hints of caramel and a clean, horsey funk over the mid-palate, leaving a subtle minerality to a tinge of oak lingering into the back end with distant shreds of stone fruit in tow.

Mouthfeel shows a light body with moderate carbonation producing a fluffy dispersion and soft tingle over the mid-palate; quietly tart and perpetually refreshing, the back end glistens with a mild acidity enlightening a pillowy twang fading through the finish.

Still impressive with nearly 8 years in the bottle, this wild ale shines through with plenty of life and funk, perhaps fading from a peak more redolent with refined overtones of oaky peach, though still intently holding to the brazen namesake characteristics which undoubtedly made this beer special.

Poured from a tall bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip. Cave #2

L: Cloudy golden brown pour with big foamy off-white head. Nice ring of lacing.

S: Peach preserves and a bit of funk. Fruit and oak.

T.F: Sweet-tart peach jam... low acidity with some funk and oaky barrel flavor. Very balanced... medium bodied with effervescent carbonation. More peach at the finish.

O: An outstanding peach wild ale. New Glarus does outstanding work and this beer was excellent. Very enjoyable.

Bottled August 2014; drank 4/21/16 @ Harvest Hop Haus.

Aged in cave #2; beers blended from 2011, 2012 & 2013.

Murky orange rust appearance.

Fluffy khaki head; minimal lace.

Sweet peach jam notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Sweet peach & mild caramel flavors up front; effervescent soda water bite on the finish.

An elegant beer; simple yet perfect. The best fruit beer I've ever had.

Never thought I would get to try this beer, but as release luck would have it, someone cracked one...thanks Jerry! This beer is not a looker. Pours a light brown doo doo water, along the lines of a sour brown. Great peach aroma on the nose, and the flavor still shines after 4 years in the bottle.

Bubbly copper-amber with a bubbly khaki collar.

Smell is peach cobbler with fresh, juicy and ripe peaches. Wow grandma, you nailed it!

Taste is lightly tart peach with shortbread, semi-bitter oak and toasted seeds delivered by a bubbly airy froth, finishing dry finish.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to red color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was somewhat there but dissipated within about less than a slim minute. The smell had a sour to sweet peach to soured apple/maybe pear maybe glossed over orange to mango engrossing aroma. The taste encompasses a nice citrus to piney to bitter/sour apple to pear to sweet fruit. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp but still carried it’s own as far as everything is required. Overall, I say this was a pretty good American Wild ale with the peach thing going on.
