Treat yourself to a rare delight. The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale.
Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

Poured into a nonic pint.

Look--A rather dark brownish red...not very appealing...looks nothing like a beer. Frothy white head lasted almost a minute.

Smell--Raspberry syrup.

Taste--Also, raspberry syrup...no hint of malt or hops. A bit tart, but with a subtle touch of sweetness.

Feel--Moderate carbonation, moderate body.

Overall--This lacks any of the beer characteristics of their Apple Ale; this is more like a soda, or a raspberry wine. I am not likely to purchase this again, as it does not remind me of an ale whatsoever.

A: Brown-red, light pink coarse head that fizzes out, no lace and only thin islands to serve as reminders that it was ever there. Single weak stream of bubbles. The wax topping on this bottle is gross.

S: Sickly sweet fruit. Cherry and strawberry, sure raspberry could be hidden in there, too.

T: Stop beating around the bush and drink the damn thing! Much better on the tongue, the nose has improved with plenty of red fruit profiles yet only bits of the former sweetness. Weak 'beer' flavors in the background. SO friggin' drinkable, like soda with more wholesome ingredients. Not a manly beer but good God is it refreshing and easy to pour down the hatch.

F: Light bodied, light carbonation. Only reinforces how easy it is to make a bomber disappear. Only drawback is a bit of filminess.

O: I'm almost sorry I gave myself time to appraise this thing. Once you taste it, it's a slippery slope to chugging it. It's not a 'thinking' beer, but in its simplicity there is greatness.

Pours a deep, deep ruby red with a pink laced healthy head. The moment you open this bottle the raspberry scent wafts across. The taste lives up to the nose here - somehow the tartness does not overpower the sweetness here or vice versa. I get no sour feel here - this is a pure dessert beer. Somehow the mouthfeel and lasting taste here give the sense that you have been drinking a squeezed/pressed bagful of freshly picked raspberries.
