Big thanks to my mom's cousin who always brings this back from family trips to Wisconsin.

Pours a somewhat hazy light straw with a 2 finger white head that recedes to a thin layer with excellent lacing down the glass.

Smells of noble hops and a strong grainy presence.

Starts off with a grainy bready taste followed by a slight noble hop spicy kick.

Good and creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation levels.

Cream ales are my style of choice that most BA's don't like. I've always had a soft spot for this one and it's a very easy drinking light ale that actually has taste and mouthfeel behind it.

Thanks to Joel for letting me have one of his bottles.

12 oz. poured into conical pint.

A: Slightly cloudy light gold color with a brief white head and decent lacing.

S: Pretty weak on the smell. Bit of sweetness and malt.

T: Grains, malt, cream. kiss of hops. Light and refreshing.

M: Creamy, yet light and crisp. Great.

O: The ultimate session beer. Pretty nice all around except for the smell.

Happy new years!

Tulip glass.

Pours crystal clear, light golden/yellow with about a half finger of fizzy, pure white head. Some lacing and so-so retention. Smells malty with some sugary corn and bread. Malt and corn wash over the palate, tasting similar to the smell, finishing off dry. Medium body, slightly creamy, with medium carbonation. Would like to see some more crispness. Overall, solid warm weather beer, quite drinkable (by construction). Bonus points for being one of my first crafty beers.

From 12/18/11 notes.

a - Pours a pale yellow color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of bready malts, grains, spices, light fruit. Not bad, but a bit bland in the nose.

t - Tastes of bready malts, cream, light toasted malts, grain, light fruit and floral notes. Cream is definitely here in the taste and much better than the nose.

m - Medium body and low carbonation. Super smooth and creamy, and very very easy to drink. Best part of the beer.

o - Overall an interesting beer. The nose is a bit bland, but than the taste is very bready and creamy, which is pretty nice. The mouthfeel is near perfect, and it would be very easy to have a few of these. Something I'd like to try again sometime.
