Poured from a 12oz bottle. No bottle date but a number of 2402 on the bottle.
A - pours a spritzy red hued brownish-orange. Just a skimming of off white head appears and instantly disappears.
S - just a tad of sourness, but mainly cherry fruit. Smells like a chewy cherry Spree. Syrup. Slightly musty. Unusual - I dont know I ever smelled another beer like it.
T - Just a tad of sourness on the front end that melds into huge notes of maple syrup and cherries. Very interesting. Vanilla on the back end. Some barrel wood present throughout. A slightly unusual caramelly malty profile resides in the mid to late palate.
M - medium-light bodied. Barely any carbonation - drinks more like a still drink.
D - easy to drink. The fruit makes it drink almost like a melomel more than a beer.
Overall a very interesting I am enjoying. Fruit, vanilla and sour all meld together to form something unusual and enjoyable.
