Bottle poured into a snifter.
A - Pours a weak, vanilla head that recedes to a small ring. Very deep red when held to the light but black at first glance.
S - A beautiful fresh cherry smell thats got a refreshing tartness to it. Maybe a little bit of sourness playing around also. Some very delicate chocolate malt hides in the background.
T - Chocolate malt is there but is hard to find with the tartness of young red fruit hitting you. Has a nice carbonation tingle that melts well with the acidity. Finishes with, yet again, a bright cherry tartness.
M - Light to medium-light in body. Moderate carbonation. Semi-dry.
O - I love a quality crafted fruit beer. This one could have showed some more stout characteristics and have balanced out but it is somehow a great summer thirst quencher. It's appropriate that it's classified as a fruit beer and not a stout.
