Being a big fan of cherries and stouts this seemed to be the perfect combination. Thanks to my brother in Eau Claire for getting me a few of these. Poured into a snifter and enjoyed. Appearance is nice, dark but that red cherry goodness shines. Smell is the winner here with loads of cherries and chocolate. Taste is good, and hits big with cherries, a little dark smoke and chocolate. Then the sour hits and just puckers the palate. Very light body, but think it fits with the sour end note it leaves you with. Only real issue I have is that, like other unplugged beers from NG, it is a must share for me, even in the small bottle.
