12oz. bottle poured into a tulip-style glass. It pours a deep ruby red color with one finger of light tan head. There is just a touch of lacing. The smell has lots going on. There's some cherry cough syrup, smoke, oak, and some yeasty aromas. Nothing too strong, but you can pick out each one. Very nice. The taste has lots of cherry going on up front. It's very very sweet, almost more than the Belgian Red (if that's possible)! A little bit of charred wood in there, but the finish falls off pretty quick. The mouthfeel is a little watery, I was expecting something thicker. The drinkability is great though. A big thanks to Kevin for bestowing this one upon me before he moved away.
